The Bronze Collective — Attraction in Alexandria

Stefani was a random find on Instagram when I was just haphazardly scrolling through one evening. I thought her page looked edgy, modern and bold – which I really respect in someone in the creative / beauty industry. She exuded confidence in her work and I was immediately drawn to hire her for my wedding – for me AND my fiancé (who in the past had only looked terribly orange after any spray tan). No one recommended her, I had never met her before…and the fact that she just HAPPENED to be married to a fellow devil dog (thus making her automatically awesome) was a complete surprise and total bonus. : )

But on to the serious stuff… Stefani was so flexible, easy to work with and fairly priced (I would have paid so much more for this quality of work in California). She came to my wedding venue in Laie - way up in the North Shore. She was right on time and totally caught me in my stressed out, bridezilla mood. I greeted her at the door, showed her to my room and then continued to run around checking on all the out-of-town guests that were staying with us for the wedding. She was patient, kind and understanding. She wasn’t in any rush and didn’t charge me for any little things or have any hidden BS fees. After I came upstairs (with a glass of wine and probably a look of completely meltdown on my face)….Stefani and her little tanning tent were a safe haven for me.

She got to work right away, explaining everything from the sticky little foot pads she used on my feet to what to do when my little fur-baby dog started licking the tan off my ankles. : ) She was so helpful…answering my questions as she did her work. She would even answer my questions before they came out of my mouth! Statements like “Its OK….you can breathe – it won’t hurt you” as I was nervously holding my breath as she sprayed my neck REALLY drove home what a true professional she was. In the end, my tan look flawless (as did my fiance’s). She was so easy to talk to, fun to work with and a total professional. I plan to hire her again and again as long as we are both on Oahu. I also plan to update this review with professional photos once my photographer gets them back to me…because honestly – words can’t do her work justice. I have received many spray tans and NOTHING compares to The Bronze Collective/Spray Tans by Stefani. When I am booking appointments I always looks for the best in quality, price, and friendliness. In terms of quality, I have never received a spray tan like I have here. I have done the bronze tan, clear tan, and contour tan. All I love, but the bronze tan with contour is my favorite. Before starting the appointment, Stefani and all the girls take time to listen to you about how dark you want to be. They are meticulous in their work and it shows. The tan can last me up to 10 days and even after 10 days it still looks great. It was an easy choice to use them for my wedding and I quite honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else with my tan then the Bronze Collective. Their pricing is incredibly fair for the service they provide. Stefani and all of the girls WORK THEIR BUTTS OFF. They are accommodating, take time to listen, and make you feel comfortable which is exactly what you need when you’re tanning for a special event, vacation, or just because. In terms of friendliness, nobody can compete with the warmth that Stefani has. She lights up a room and treats you like one of her good friends. One time I came in rather frazzled about an experience I had buying a car and Stefani spent the whole tanning session training me on what to do next time I went into the dealership so that I could negotiate a great price. What a wealth of knowledge she is!!! She genuinely cares about all of her clients and it makes it easy to want to come back. Wow! This was my first spray tan and will not be my last! In preparation for trying on wedding dresses, I decided to get a tan and used the clear option (as recommended for brides). Stefani was amazing as she answered all of my questions via DM and even set aside a body wash that I could use prior to tanning. I was sprayed by Megan and it felt like we had known each other forever. The experience was stress less and fun! There is a reason why this studio books up so quickly - talented artists, relaxed atmosphere and you leave feeling your best. Thanks Stefani & team!!

Update!!! May 2022 - Stefani did my bridal tan I met with Stefani in April for my trial and I received so many compliments on how natural the color looked. I had some issues on my legs/feets/ankles and thought it was attributed to my prep (ladies, listen to Stefani and PREP, PREP and PREP your skin so more). I returned on May 18 for my bridal tan and the excitement that Stefani had for my upcoming wedding was amazing - you feel like you've been friends with her for years! Great tan experience as always -- in true transparency, I did wake up with some issues on Thursday and Stefani was super responsive and even offered to meet with me on her lunch break!!! It turns out, it was me, not her --my skin just wasn't taking the tan on my feet /ankles. However, the rest of my tan was fabulous. I felt amazing when I put my dress on with my tan - wow!
