I had the pleasure of visiting Alfred Street Baptist Church a few weeks ago with my wife and members of her Bible study group all the way from Texas and Florida!. We began following ASBC online during the Covid pandemic. We love the way that Pastor Howard John Wesley and the other leaders of the church take the approach of teaching while preaching. They are a very spiritual, dynamic, diverse, inclusive and loving congregation! We were greeted with a smile from the time we stepped out of our Uber. I wish that we lived in the area because we would without a doubt become members, but we will have to be thankful that God provided us with the opportunity and to attend. After being slightly disappointed that we would not hear the Paster preach that day, we were definitely blessed to be a part of his 16th Pastoral Anniversary celebration 🙏 A beautiful time was had! I started watching ASBC back in 2019 Online when Pastor Wesley mentioned a sabbatical. I thought WOW! A Baptist Pastor taking a sabbatical. ASBC you are truly blessed to have an Amazing Pastor. I have been watching and have turned my family and friends on to this amazing church. Pastor Wesley is Anointed man of God who brings the word. It shows in his messages every Sunday that he prepares to deliver a word. I saw a post review that mentioned that someone was disappointed that Pastor Wesley doesn't speak about reopening the church. Not sure if that person is paying attention BUT we are in a PANDEMIC. I am Grateful to be able to logon EVERY SUNDAY and get a message. I also love the fact that Pastor Wesley allows his other Reverends bring a word as well. He's humble! I never ever met him. My husband and I often talk about becoming members of this church.
