Rally House Outlets of Des Moines — Attraction in Altoona

Came into the store looking for a t-shirt saying, Beat Iowa. (The Cy/Hawk FB game was in 2 days). The friendly staff told me that those shirts were boxed up and sent to Ames, IA that morning. (the game was going to be played at Ames this year) The beat State shirts were still on hangers, on the shelves. I felt like some people might not have the funds until payday Friday to purchase a shirt, and then they are out of luck, all because the store HAD to send them 2 days before the game, and it’s only a 30 min drive from Altoona to Ames, IA. Why the rush to get them there? I did end up buying a t-shirt for my granddaughter to wear to school. I personally couldn’t find the right shirt. Oh well….maybe next time. Also unsure why the IA Hawkeye items were all up front? But had to go looking for ISU items. As at that time, an employee had to tell another customer that those Beat State shirts were not in the store. Would be nice to see University of Northern Iowa items. All in all, I enjoyed the employees. The store was clean, and you could get in the aisle(s) with ease. Recommend the store, and I will be purchasing items for this upcoming NFL and...

Shopped here for some last minute gifts tonight. We had 20 minutes before they closed so we were rushing. We’d had a long night, and the manager could not have possibly been more kind to my kids and me. She was quick to offer to look for the right size of a sweatshirt I liked (and found it!) and was so friendly to my kids. I easily found gifts for the Nebraska Husker fan I was shopping for, and based on the amazing customer service, will make a return trip to look through all the Cyclone gear I saw there as well. Oh - and they even put the gifts in a bag for me with team colored tissue paper!

We were headed to Scheels but called to see if they had a Univ of Iowa basketball for signatures. They didn't have one but offered to order it from another store and have it mailed free of charge!! When I got there, they handled everything while my husband bought 2 hats, they even showed us some sale clothing. They were friendly and showed great customer service. I will go out ti the store...
