The Museum of the Western Prairie is a true treasure!
The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and truly excited to share their knowledge, history and resources at their disposal. The historical society also engages with artists, authors and musicians, who share their work and perspectives, creating a vibrant connection between history and the present.
They are also very community focused, providing opportunities for the local schools to showcase artist and allow young musicians performance opportunities throughout the year.

Read moreA lovely little museum worth a visit! Decently priced admission, clean, educational, and has informative displays both inside and out. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it’s just not that kid friendly in my opinion, specifically for children 4 and under. While I wouldn’t expect this museum to be geared towards children, many people that visit are families with little ones. Even setting up a small “yes space” inside or out where a child could actually touch, play or watch something educational would make a huge difference.
