The Museum of the Western Prairie is a true treasure! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and truly excited to share their knowledge, history and resources at their disposal. The historical society also engages with artists, authors and musicians, who share their work and perspectives, creating a vibrant connection between history and the present. They are also very community focused, providing opportunities for the local schools to showcase artist and allow young musicians performance opportunities throughout the year. If you’re looking for a fun and educational outing I would highly suggest visiting the museum! They also have a lovely gift shop that features several area artist, making it the perfect place to pick up a unique gift or a meaningful keepsake from your visit.

The little museum is a hidden gem! I loves the music and information in front of each exhibit. The outdoor area is also exceptional providing a feeling of what it must have been like to live on the western prairie. The two women working there were helpful and demonstrated obvious expertise. I can't wait to go back to the events next week.

My family and I decided to stop by and see. Lots of history, everyone was entertained and we all learned something new. Price of admission is cheap, so it's worth checking it out if you're in the area.

A lovely little museum worth a visit! Decently priced admission, clean, educational, and has informative displays both inside and out. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it’s just not that kid friendly in my opinion, specifically for children 4 and under. While I wouldn’t expect this museum to be geared towards children, many people that visit are families with little ones. Even setting up a small “yes space” inside or out where a child could actually touch, play or watch something educational would make a huge difference. Other than that, it’s a great place and they’ve clearly put a lot of time and detail into...

It looks alot different when your little ,and go on school trips, and when your all grown up you look at it a different way your eyes more open to appreciate. It's really cool too see all the things from different times and what they use back then. It was was really nice ,and to read about 1808 the first mail truck ,and different medical equipment they used ,and indian things.I'm glad the museum is still...
