Disciple Masonry — Attraction in Ambler

We’ve used Disciple Masonry for multiple projects involving brick and block repointing, stucco work, and lintel installation over the past few years on multiple properties. We have been extremely satisfied with their work. The team is easy to get in touch with and always communicates clearly, writing a detailed plan of action and reviewing it with you before beginning. Disciple’s work is high quality and done in a timely manner. They work hard to make sure you are satisfied with the end product and will rectify concerns you have. For example, months after a completed project, we noticed an area in a brick wall that we thought should have been in-scope for repointing done by Disciple. We called them and they honored our request to fix the issue within a few days. Everyone with whom we’ve interacted is extremely kind and professional. Charles, one of Disciple’s primary estimators, helped us to understand what work we should prioritize and what might be less urgent. This was a breath of fresh air after dealing with many contractors who seem to dramaticize issues just to expand the scope of work. Getting multiple quotes proved that Disciple’s pricing was also fair. When considering purchasing a new masonry house, we got more comfortable with the decision knowing that we have an excellent mason to partner with if needed! We had used Disciple previously to repair and seal some damaged brick areas of the exterior to our house. They did such an excellent job with the first project, that when we decided to have our cracked and compromised barn floor ripped out and repoured, they were our first call. Nothing about the project was as simple as it should be - the floor was behind the house down a long driveway off a very busy street, amount of concrete to be removed was, well, unknown, and a small door meant all the breakup would have to be carried out by hand, essentially. In three days, a team of about 9 had the project complete. Pat and Danny kept up fantastic communication and ensured that the work teams had the correct information. All of the crew were highly professional and clearly took pride in their work. They took great care to protect our home and driveway from damage and left everything pristine when they were done. Our home is in a very middle-class area and our projects were not exciting, but Disciple treated us like we were a Main Line client. The attention they paid to us, and the quality of their work are together an unbelievable value. Could not recommend...

We have a tall brick chimney with a very steep roof. It had no cap, a cracked crown, and shifting bricks. And it had a lot bad patch jobs. Worst of all, water was getting in to our bathroom every time it rained. We had a different masonry company come out and give us an estimate and it was… a lot! They wanted to just wrap the chimney and stucco it, and only looked at the chimney from the ground. I cried a little bit when I got their estimate, it was SO MUCH. Especially because I like the look of brick. I had disciple masonry come out for an estimate and they flew a drone over the chimney. They were able to give us a concise breakdown of all the work they would need to do: rebuilding the top of the chimney, doing a cap and a crown, new terracotta pipes, and repointing the whole chimney. I’d get to keep the brick! Best of all… it was half the price of my first estimate! Seriously. It was still a big investment but I think my chimney will be in good shape for a long time.
