ASAP Semiconductor LLC — Attraction in Anaheim

Tried to order a part for an AOG from this company. I was told they had 2 in stock, 1 overhauled and 1 serviceable. I ordered them early on Thursday morning. I called several times Thursday to pay and get them shipped overnight with no response. On Friday, I again tried and failed on numerous occasions so pay for the items and have them shipped overnight. I finally received a call back on Friday around noon saying that they did not have these parts they were the wrong part #. A couple hours later they called back once again and said they did actually have the parts and they could ship them overnight. This was late Friday afternoon. Monday morning I wired them the money so they could ship these overnight and arrive at my facility first thing Tuesday. Tuesday morning I call to get the tracking information and I am told that they actually don't have the parts ready that they have to go to the repair shop first and it would be 2 more days. At this point I am frustrated and at my limit and I have to get prior approval at this point because my higher ups are getting frustrated as well but they are my only option and I have an AOG so what do you do. When I get approval to wait on the repaired parts he now tells me it will actually be 7 to 10 days. At this point I have been lied to and jerked around so much that I had been researching high and low for alternatives and luckily I finally found another facility that can actually repair the 2 I have in 2 days so I cancel my order and go with the...

I had an unfortunate business dealing with ASAP Semiconductor and would never consider using them for anything ever again. Here's the issue. I was looking for a couple of V Band clamps for my plane to satisfy an AD. After looking for about 6 weeks without success I found that ASAP Semi had a couple left. I spoke with Mitchell Hinojosa to get the process started. Understand the original price of the part was around $500 on the open market. A few months ago the price jumped to about $1350 as scarcity set in. ASAP Semi decided to charge $3000 each for whatever reason - greed, I assume. I bought from them knowing I was paying an extortion fee because I couldn't find any from any other supplier, but then after ordering I found there was one general aviation supplier left with stock at $1325. Yes, I had already purchased from ASAP. Mitchell Hinojosa conveniently omitted the fact that his company does not offer any returns for any reason! I tried to send the unopened clamps back to ASAP and they flatly refused any return or refund. Then they stopped answering my emails and phone calls. By purchasing from them I lost $4000 and they are unwilling even to discuss any assistance with a return. Mitchell Hinojosa claimed he didn't make the decision to deny the return and also refused to give me any information about his supervisor or anyone at ASAP who could offer a return.
