PLEASE DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A POLICY, CANCEL IT ASAP!!!!!! I discovered water coming out from under my dishwasher and I reported the water damage on Sept 14th. An inspection was conducted by a Plummer and contractor Initially. I was told there was only a small amount of green mold which suggested new growth. My adjuster Brett Cocanower stated via phone that my water damage was sudden and thus would be covered. A woman came to take pictures to report to Brett the estimated costs, and up until then Brett was still arranging for the repairs, even having a contractor remove my kitchen cabinets. They did further testing for asbestos and even then, Brett stated we were still covered because this was a sudden incident. It turned out one of my sewage pipes was broken, per the plummer. Meanwhile, Brett already had the budget from the adjuster and it took two additional days to get back the results from the asbestos. Even after getting positive results, everything was still in place to get repaired. The asbestos company came to do their estimate and all of a sudden, I get a call from Brett today (9 days later) telling me nothing will be covered. Meanwhile, the mold that was initially green, turned dark and although additional mold was discovered along the wall behind the sink, Brett stated it was not considered a "sudden incident." I called the plummer who works with water damage as well, and he also DID NOT think the problem was neglected, nor the mold was old. Per Brett, the mold looked old and he ruled it a neglected problem. I explained to Brett this is the first time we noticed water and no home owner would neglect water coming from underneath their kitchen! Brett gave me an absolute NO, I asked if it was possible to appeal this decision and he stated "I already talk to my manager, the decision has been made, nothing will be covered." I begged to talk to someone and he simple said the decision was "NO." As a result, they left my kitchen destroyed since they removed all of the cabinets to assess the wall, and will not put anything back. All because it was too expensive for them to pay for the asbestos removal. This company will only take your money, unfortunately I know three more individuals with similar stories where this company did not cover their claims. Yet they're quick to take your money. Read moreI don’t know what to say! Pacific specialty has gone to hell. We have multiple policies, and have been with them for years. Well our problems started a month ago (Dec) They sent us a cancellation notice. Citing several issues that they wanted corrected. Now the notice to cancel was mailed out 12/23/24 and the policy would cancel 1/23/25. So we got busy addressing the issue. I sent pictures showing that all of the issues were addressed. I received a e-mail that stated the pictures were insufficient that they must be from the same angle that the inspector took. Ok so more pictures were sent and again i was told that they didn’t show the area. So again I submitted more pictures showing issues were addressed. I called them per their instructions. Omg they sent me 5 pictures then proceeded to go over them (they were the original pictures from the inspection) I was told ok here are the issues that must be addressed. Drainage rock in the driveway must be removed because it’s a tripping hazard. The chicken coop isn’t up to code. A toddler’s plastic slide is upside down - it must be uprighted and inspected to make sure is isn’t a hazard (it is a little tykes slide) See the concrete slab (where garbage cans are stored) a corner of it has crumpled off. Do you see the black marks in the dirt in this picture (ashes etc from a fire pit) it must be removed - are you kidding me it’s maybe a hand-full of ashes. And the last straw there are several pieces of paper that need to be picked up….,, I spent over an hour on the phone listening to them nit-picking some of the stupidest things. I might add this property is in the country so it’s not a million or more home.., Now today i receive an e-mail that they will not be renewing or reinstating our policy because we failed to provide adequate pictures, and a carport type building at the back of thr property has a Metal corrugated roof, which is not acceptable . Read moreI been insured with Pacific Specialty ins. A very short time , I moved to my new home 6/2022 and on 8/2022 have a pipe burst, and my kitchen flooded. I called the ins. Co and they guided me , they order water restoration co. And told me if I had a plumber to call him to stop water coming into the kitchen. This was a Friday 8/18/22 night, so I did as instructed, plumber came on and water was stopped. 5 weeks later they refuse to pay the plumber, also an adjuster came in on the following Tuesday and inspected the damage said he would came back after restoration co. completed the drying process. Kitchen cabinets were removed as appliances and most of the floor . We are now on week 5 , adjuster came back week 4 with furniture medic and said they would revise estimate . I have talk with the adjuster and email several time , sent all proof and documentation they(she) requested, and still no solution to this claim. This has been the worst experience I ever had, the lack of care is incredible, I tried talking with management with no luck. I would never recommend Pacific Specialty to anyone one, they just want to collect your premium and forget about you. We are seniors with no use is a kitchen now going On week 6. Please think twice before you get Pacific Specialty ins.
Update : 5/2023 Just got a letter from Pacific Specialty , of Non Renewal Notice, what a surprise, but the cancellation according to them is not for water damage , is for fire ( that we vente had ) yes there’s is been fire in Santa Clarita, but we never had a claim. So I’m getting new insurance, so the new co., advice me to send an email to cancel current policy , but the letter has no email adds so I called the number on the letter and once again you just get NO answer , press this # then this # and so on, never spoke to anyone and got no response. They should no be allowed to sell a service since there is no service by this company. It’s a real shame they are still in business. Who is the...
