One of my favorite places to be. A lot less homeless people around, and generally a relaxing and friendly place to be.
Duck park!!!
Community pool also exists, though they do seem to close down an hour earlier than one would expect with the heat. Basketball courts seem to always be occupied. Restrooms are okay. Not the best, unfortunately. Water fountain comes with a dispenser for bottle users, and is mildly cool.
Lots of wild fowl, some turtles, and duck poop everywhere. Watch your step, carry water for cleaning your shoes.
20 years later and the park still brings me memories.
Dad, that one time you took me, that memory stuck with me. Every time I go, I think of the one time where it was just us. I wish we could have taken a trip again. Duck park is always going to be bittersweet because I'll never get to bring you here and pay you back for everything.
Even so, it's a park full of all sorts of people living. Just like the happiness with you, they're also having the same joys.
Thanks, people, for not having ruined duck...

The sidewalks are filthy, it is not well policed at all there is garbage on the grass, bedding that is to the eye filthy on the grass and sidewalk areas of the park.
So disappointing that people are allowed to store what is to the eye, filthy, is one reason I will look outside of Anaheim to go play tennis.
Of course there are people walking their dogs and families taking a walk through the park together. This was even more disturbing with people who are half crazy screaming and running around the park.
Someone is going to get hurt.
It makes...
Read moreIn a world of noise and overlapping speed coupled with anxiety to find an effective route to work or school and even walking for a nearby errand. It's quick to lose sight to constantly think about what to purchase next or lose sight of enjoying the moment. I could needlessly reiterate these cliches or folk phasings most persons are able to relate to. Nevertheless, we oftentimes lose focus on valuable things and never stop to love the moment, altogether. This park helps me put all that noise from L.A.'s freeways and traffic/pedestrian congestion that are visibly present in any large city away for a few hours. Our world could use more brief disconnections from materialism or obsessing over social media and be present, even if it's for a...
