Taka's Bait & Tackle — Attraction in Anaheim

You know, not all tackle shops are created equal. Neither is man, or his interaction. I've been coming to this store since I was in a stroller. I spent maybe 15 years away from the state living in Texas. Coming back I found myself rushed with a flood of memories. Familiar faces almost brought me to tears I didn't show how surreal it was to walk in. Merely after a tin of worms. I buy an extra just to chuck em in the pond and keep the sales coming in for them. With local knowledge, and an incredible line up, I'd be hard pressed to think you couldn't come here and get on a fish after you left. I will come here until I can't no longer. Taka & Steve are both knowledgeable & experienced fishermen, evident from all the pics of all the BIG catches throughout the years. Taka even does custom wrap rods. I just picked up my custom wrap rod & it's so perfect for me! You can tell Taka took his time with it because of the attention to details & the quality of craftsmanship with my finished rod. He even gave me demonstrations & pointers on what to do & what not to do when I'm out there fishing. His mild manner demeanor makes me very receptive to it all. I can’t say enough good things about this place! Just a few days before my trip, I walked in, and they treated me like family from the moment I arrived. The owner even took the time to reteach me some knots I hadn’t used in a while, which was a game-changer. Steve went above and beyond, rigging up all my jigs for me. The service here is top-notch, and their prices are unbeatable. Honestly, what more could an angler ask for?
