Yost Ice Arena — Attraction in Ann Arbor

After seeing a Michigan v. OSU hockey game in Columbus a couple years back, my wife and I decided to make the trip to Ann Arbor to check out the mecca of college hockey. Yost did not disappoint.

The architecture for the entire athletic campus is stunning, but Yost really steals the show for us. Between the brick structure and large arches windows the building feels like a cathedral in all the best ways.

Great arena! The facility is clean, well-lit, and easy to navigate. We had seats at center ice in the 6th row and could see almost all of the action throughout the game. The only issue we had was with the width of the bench seats. I am a bigger guy, and I had to pull in my arms and shoulders the whole time because all of the seats were sold out in our section and everyone was sitting shoulder to shoulder. That definitely made the experience uncomfortable. The seat spacing is a little wider than the Big House, but not by much. Other than that,...

Such a fantastic atmosphere!!!! My husband is partial because he and his father had season tickets for Michigan hockey while he was growing up....we were lucky enough to take our daughters to their first hockey game here!!!! They LOVED it...the band....the cheers....the venue....the staff....everything is amazing for how affordable it is to go!!!!
