I live pretty close by, so I tend to order here a lot. Literally every time I have gotten a pizza from here, my order has been wrong. Sometimes by a little bit, sometimes by a lot.
Here's a fun thing that happened tonight that made me decide never to support this business ever again:
I create an order online, and go to submit my credit card information. I get an error message, and the windows closes yet my account is charged. I call the store and they say they never received my order, and tell me to send an email to corporate, which I did. However, I was pretty hungry and ended up placing another order, carefully explaining what I wanted. He repeats this back to me, and says it will be out shortly. I receive my pizza, and the topping I specifically asked for was missing.
While it seems lame to complain about a missing topping, when 100% of your orders miss something or cook it incorrectly, it becomes infuriating. Whether I ask for light sauce, extra pepperonis, garlic sauce, ranch, etc. ONE of these things will be missing every single time. Not only that, but the pizza is usually undercooked, which is disgusting!
What makes me so upset is the fact that's it's a pizza. Bread, sauce, cheese, toppings. How can you screw something up literally every time I order? When I call to complain I just get rushed off the phone with no manager seeming to care. Tonight I decided I'm going to try some other pizza places for a while - Cottage Inn has proven to fail at the most basic of food...
Read moreMy cooperative house (150 people) placed two large orders (40 pizzas) with this place in the last two weeks. These orders were placed days in advance. Last week the delivery was a half-hour late, which is not ideal but not a big deal.
This week, however, the order was somehow missed entirely. This place would not even answer the phone to explain what happened. We tried to place the same order at the other cottage inn location, but apparently large online orders always go to the Packard one? Anyway, this time the Packard location messed up the order again. When we finally got through to them after being on hold for over ten minutes, they said their drivers didn't show up for work or something (I wasn't on the call). They finally found a driver, but it was his first day and he took our order to the wrong address somewhere south of Ann Arbor.
Finally they got two other drivers (where did they come from?) to take our order back north to our house in two cars. So it finally showed up 2.5 hours after it was supposed to, it didn't show up all at once, and it was all cold. We serve food in an industrial kitchen subject to health code, and this pizza was not hot enough for us to legally serve. Everyone ate cold pizza and went to bed, except our cleaning shift, which had to work late due to the absurd delay.
As someone with a position of leadership in this house, I will personally see to it that we never order from...
Read moreI work at the Hospital. Got my food in a fairly timely manner. However, cheesebread looked as if it had been dropped, and was so cold it was in pieces (because of being dropped) i also paid for extra sauce which didnt show up. Called the store to complain, was politely told they weren't delivering to the hospital yet and gave me the contact info for the "correct" store. Called that store, and after looking up my info, they realized that i MUST have ordered from the first store, as I was not in their system at all. Called the first store back, explained (once again) what was wrong and told them that i had definitely ordered from them and gave my phone#. The manager was kind enough to give me a store credit to cover the cheesebread and missing sauce. Finally sat down to eat (lunch was nearly over by then, but i was hungry!) opened my calzone, only to find it undercooked (literally had raw dough), soggy and overall inedible. Was too disgusted and out of time to call the store back, so into the trash it went. I will probably not order from cottage inn again for a long time, and will NEVER order from this store. Thoroughly disappointed, (and still hungry!) two stars for the kindess of the manager the third time i called. Food...
