Black Market Port Annapolis — Restaurant in Annapolis

This was my first time going here after hearing a lot of really great things. The employees were really nice and our Cappuccinos were delicious. We got two muffins and although we didn’t try them yet, they look delicious. My only complaint is that that I paid $20 for two breakfast sandwiches that were both missing the mayo and cheddar cheese after they confirmed that I wanted that on there. They were okay, but $10 for one egg and a piece of bacon on bread wasn’t worthy. Felt kind of ripped off.

To reiterate, I wasn’t totally unhappy with my experience to begin with this is why I gave 4 stars after my experience. The employees were really nice, our cappuccinos were delicious, and the muffins we got were amazing. They DEFINITELY lived up to the hype. My only disappointment at first was the breakfast sandwiches, which I felt were a little on the light side and were missing the mayo and cheddar cheese I had asked for and that were supposed to come on the sandwhiches. At $10 each, they felt underwhelming.

However, I was later reached out to by Katie, who responded to my review and asked me to reach out via email. She was really responsive and refunded me for both sandwiches within 24 hours of my email to her. She was professional, apologetic, and went above and beyond what I expected. Honestly, most places wouldn’t do that, and I think this was the best customer service I’ve had in a very long time. I enjoy visiting the marina to indulge in the delicious weekly specials offered by Black Market Baker. One of my favorites is their cruffins, which are a staple item. Pairing them with their rosemary focaccia is always a treat. In addition to their delightful pastries, they also have a wonderful selection of cafe drinks and sandwiches available for both breakfast and lunch.

After satisfying my cravings with a bite to eat or a variety of pastries, I love finding a serene spot by the water to enjoy my coffee. The ambiance of the Marina adds to the overall enjoyment of the visit.

One of the standout aspects of this place is the incredible staff. They consistently provide warm, friendly, and welcoming service. Their genuine hospitality makes you feel appreciated and valued as a customer. It's always a pleasure to interact with them...

Amazing bakery! The baked goods are so delicious. I’m not even a “baked-goods person,” but I cannot resist them here. The vegan options are phenomenal. Vegan or not, you’ve got to try the oatmeal cream pie! The sourdough bread is the best I’ve ever had. Both the avocado toast & vegan sandwich are fresh and light, but so satisfying and filling. The coffee is good. The people who work here are a perfect balance of friendly and efficient. The lines can be long, but they keep things moving. And, they are so nice!

If you have a little time, walk around Port Annapolis. The last time we were there, we watched a Great Blue Heron fishing in the marsh. Not a bad setting to enjoy your coffee and pastry!
