This store use to be my go to store for specialty items, but no more. Right before, and ever since it changed ownership, the condition of their stock has been pathetic. Especially on unique and hard to find items. There will be a spot for them but no product in that spot. Some of the new employees they have working there have no knowledge about hardware or customer service. I recently went in to have a propane tank filled. Their policy is for the customer to take the tank over to the side gate where an employee will meet you, take your tank and then fill it. The n you, the customer have to go back into the store and wait for the tank to be filled and pay for the fill. Then go back to the side gate to pick up your tank. That's not customer service. When you bring a tank in to be filled, an employee should come to the front door, get your tank, and bring it back when it's finished. I walk with a cane and can't always get around well. When I brought my tank in to be filled I put it in a car and took it to the side gate. I was met by an older employee who, when seeing that I had my tank in a cart said, "do you expect me to pick that up out of that cart"? My response was, " it's your job"! I have dealt with this employee before and he has little or no knowledge about hardware or customer service. It sucks that I can no longer count on this store and have to go to Oakley or Pittsburg. Read moreI have placed an order dated on May 11, 2020. I have requested to have it delivered in advance, 5 days, May 16,2020 (Saturday). I called early 9:00 May 16,2020 (Saturday), spoke to a certain Charles, at first saying, they don’t have such order number: 16940162. I firmly stated, I have an email confirmation. Hadn’t I described my items, he wouldn’t have find it, as well he even confirmed my items are there ( 8 ft ladder, 2 rolls sisal rope) put me on hold, spoked to his Manager Trey, only to get back at me saying they will try to deliver. No calls, no email update, no delivery. Nothing!
I called at 5:35pm, verified if I still should expect my delivery, spoke to a certain Enrique (staff) and only offered to put a note on his Manager’s desk, to be read the following day.
May 17,2020 (Sunday) I called again today at 8:35am, spoke to a certain Anna. As per the information she gave, my orders are not ready. Really now? I am given the runaround. Charles confirmed my items ready and at the store yesterday. I live 4 blocks away from Ace Sunset Drive, and I don’t see any reason why they cannot deliver. I am one of the locals, who purchases and supports the local store in this area, and it’s so frustrating and upseting.
I can understand short staff concerns due to covid 19. Hey, at least have the decency and courtesy to give advise/ heads up as to when they can commit and deliver. I have cancelled my order online.

Very hurtful, the first experience, I walked in happy smiling as usual, all to have my smile broken with a request for me to close my purse, that's like no ones store policy in the US. I should've just looked at her and kept going as if she said nothing or told the ole bat the zippers broken, I zipped it, they still followed me all over that dusty store, don't go there with allergies. To better explain why my bag was open in the first place, the bag that day was a LV Speedy 35 and if you know bags us ladies hardly every close that one, on a quick run to the store, placing your phone and keys first after locking your car door, grab whatever you go in there for, "PAY FOR IT" and leave as you grab your keys out of it walking away from the register. Just a crew of ole tired prejudice ole bags and their offsprings working there.....don't go, it's like stepping into a time capsule and you'll know what your ancestors...
