I have been a customer of this store for over 25 years and God knows how much money I've spent there! Customer service has always been great but I will tell you yesterday I went into the paint department, 4:00pm on a Saturday afternoon there
One loan 18 year old girl was working the service desk when I walked up and began listening to her talk about paints to a customer I was absolutely floored about her in-depth knowledge of paints and what each was for, the application process for each surface prep, and more. Please take this in the spirit it's all intended because kids today usually are there for a paycheck so a lot of times training although necessary becomes a task and futility because again many kids today are there for the paycheck.
Her name is Ariana and if you are ever in the paint department of Apopka HD and need help she is definitely going to be a database of knowledge in regards to anything and all paint inside and out! To my point I had a very obscure request I had an off color flat white ceiling paint and between her using color match with the ceiling attic cover I brought in and then actually going and pulling swatches from the shelf I can say she did an absolute perfect job of matching a 20-year-old ceiling paint to where it's completely flawless!
The manager that trained her should be very proud because not only did they do a great job in the training/articulation of paint knowledge but did so in a way that it was retained with a high degree of accuracy!
I think today people take a ton of time to complain and not enough people take the time to say when a young person has done a great job and she is definitely what we would call in the restaurant business a Hi-Po "high potential " this all was displayed in her want to do right for the customer but also wanting to be knowledgeable about what she's doing. I recommend to Home Depot if you do not have her in some kind of manager training program that somebody sit down and counsel her about what her future is and how being a manager in retail can present a very good and stable future Ariana,...

After purchasing our John Deere riding lawnmower it had maybe 5 hours of total use on the machine when a back rear (larger tire) went out
After trying to figure out how to fix this for about a week we finally had to patch the tire because of air loss so frequently in the tire itself, so finally we fixed it
One additional front driver (smaller tire) goes out after this creating an additional problem
Now I know I will be contacting John Deere directly, its just the hassle of this being a tractor that is over $2,000 dollars and really less than 8 weeks old
You would think you wouldn't have issues, this early is extremely frustrating
Home Depot says you only have a month and when I spoke to "Becca" she seemed to say theres nothing that can be done because it was bought "outside" the return window
She seemed to not care at all and almost have a there's "nothing"I can do attitude about the whole situation and this is the manager on duty
I explained to her that all cases should not be equal especially considering it had 5 hours on the tractor which shows on a digital readout on the machine
I should be able to receive my money back or an exchange, the fact I couldn't do either is very poor business and not customer friendly at all
Not only will I never shop at a Home Depot again primarily because I don't wanna spend that kind of money ever again and be treated like its no big deal to a company
Again I dropped major cash to help keep my home nice for girls and family
In 2020 Covid i have many options
I'll take my business elsewhere

   Read moreI went to this home depot on Wednesday, July 16th to look at a couple different things. One thing I was looking for was a ceiling fan light kit. Well of course there was nobody in the department. I walked around 3 times and there was no signs on any of the ceiling fan displays that were saying that Unfortunately, we don't carry ceiling fan lights kits in the store anymore, which would have been nice cause I wouldn't have to waste my time walking around looking for it. I finally had to go to somebody at a different department and asked him about it. This is when I was told that they don't carry me in the store anymore. it would have been nice to not have to waste my time, but other than that, the place was okay. Lastly, there must be a security issue in that area because all of the hedge trimmers I was looking at we're all locked up. Even the one that was only like $49. So I don't know what the issue is. Maybe it's at all the stores, which is pretty sad. I remember a time when you could just walk in, grab it and take it to the check out and not waste time looking for somebody to go to unlock it for you, which I had to do. That was the second waste of my time at the store. Over 12 years ago I worked at a different home improvement chain in the Midwest. Every week we would go into home depot's and lowe's and competitive shop their items and their service. It seems like the same issues at Home Depot back then are the same issues today.
