He Hop Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Apopka

We usually go to china wok on rock springs but since we were shopping at winn-dixie we decided to give this place a shot. Ordered our food got home and realized they gave us beef and broccoli. None of us eat beef we always order same thing at any chinese place. Spare ribs, chicken broccoli, chicken lo mein and general tso with chicken fried rice. So we take back the beef and explain that surely there was a mistake. Well the lady argued with us that we were in the wrong that we did indeed order beef. And would not correct HER mistake but just kept arguing it was mine. Basically calling us liars. Never ever again will I go to this place. So rude and unprofessional if it was my mistake I am the type to just accept that and move past but in this case I know that wasn't the case. Order from China wok with our softball team every Thursday and never had a problem. Plus the chicken and broccoli, chicken lo mein were not...

I'm used to straight good NY Chinese food but this is straight TRASH. I only order one dish. Chicken chow mein w garlic sauce. How hard is that. No flavor except sugar. Smh. But the reason for this review is the last time I went on a not so busy afternoon. Those lovely fried chicken wings t hey are charging over $8. They were fried in a tub and under the cabinet in the heat and out for the bugs and there was another one in the back. Just out in the open. They looked like I surprised them and I wasn't supposed to see that. Should have called the health dept. Oh no. I am calling the health dept. The only way is to shut them down before they kill someone. They would never serve themselves the food they serve us. Greasy. Oily. Stored on the floor or out of refrigeration. We can make our own chicken wings and not get food poisoning.

I have eaten here a few times, out of convenience, but the food is not great at all. If you are looking for the typical strip mall style Chinese takeout this spot will suffice. However don't bother if you are looking for something really delicious.. Most times the battered chicken is way too over fried, old oil tasting egg rolls, and the sauces are super oily.. I don't think they really care about quality so much as quantity and profits. They need to hire a cleaning crew to come in and clean up the place.. foul smell and cloudy windows.. To top it off the guy behind the counter needs a lesson in being polite. Treat me rudely, and make me pay for low quality food?? Nah.. I'm good. But like I said, if you just need something to hit the spot, or a cheap...
