Civic Center Park — Attraction in Apple Valley

Beautiful park! Public pools, lots of side walk for joggers, bikers and rollerskaters, two dog parks 1 for small dogs and 1 for large dogs. Two play sets for children 1 for younger and 1 for older, might I add the older children one is the best play set I've ever seen. I'm an adult and I've gone on it a few times when there was no children around. Haha. There's also a ton of swings regular and baby swings. A cute gazebo and plenty of benches located throughout the park. Lots and lots and lots of grass land so even when the play ground gets a little crowded there's plenty of grass to have your own space. Beautiful new amphitheater that holds wonderful concerts during the summer. Really my favorite park of the high desert. Ohh theres also an area with some really very neat workout equipment. There's like 6 different "stations". Very cool stuff! This parlk Great for all ages from babies to the elderly. You find something for everyone a from workouts in the park to the swimming lessons to the dog park where you always find plenty of friendly dogs for your doggy...

This park is well cared for from the grass to the playground equipment. There is a dog park, a skate park, and play equipment for bigger kids as well as for toddlers. There are bathrooms that are generally clean and a water fountain. There is also a large open field for the kids to run in, play with kites, play tag, or play with a ball. The only complaint I have is that while the park has benches and tables, there is little to no shade to be found and in the summer the heat is unbearable even in the early morning and so I rarely take my kids there. If they would add shaded areas to sit and more shade on the playground I think it would be a whole lot more enticing in the...

Very nice place to bring your children, large playground, stage area, public pool, picnic area, adult exersize equipment, nice running/biking path.

Could use more trees or gazebos! Never enough shade for everyone, the playground could use a sunshade too.

Great Halloween trunk-or-treat. Though it does get hot, and if your costume is warm you might be miserable, depending on the weather.

Library right next door, which provides free AC. A nice quiet place to cool down and read a book, though I do owe them 20$, and keep forgetting to pay it. Make sure you get your books back on time because they WILL SEND YOUR BILL TO A COLLECTION...
