This is a very nice museum, there is no charge but they do accept donations.
It is nice how alot of things are grouped together to look like an old office, or examination room, or the other things they have displayed there.
There is a nice military section that has models, uniforms, some weapons and other things. Another section is filled with old tractors and an outside barn full of farm implements.
There is a room with a display for the 1915 gas explosion in Ardmore related to the old train and painting downtown. It has lots of written information and shows some of the firefighting equipment.
This is definitely a nice place to visit, wonderful volunteers that are very friendly and helpful. They also have a nice little gift shop with a couple of unique things that isn't...
Read moreInteresting museum with so much to see and learn about. Very educational with so many artifacts on display showcasing the growth and tragedies of Ardmore. The military displays were really impressive in size and scope. I really enjoyed talking with Paul, a Vietnam Veteran who volunteers his time to teach and explain a lot of the displays. Read moreThe museum is a hidden gem in Ardmore, plenty of commemorative exhibits. It has lot more to offer than it appears from the outside. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable and created a terrific display. It chronicles the history and contributions of small towns that we easily forget.
If you are in Ardmore or planning to take a rest if you’re driving on I-35 and you don't stop by and get the museum experience you have missed out.
Amazing staff and facility....
