With deepest sympathy I am writing this review. When this location first opened, it was "da bomb" for fast food tacos. They were crispy, filled with lots of meat and cheese and a great value. This last time, I was first at drive thru and parking lot wasn't busy. ( there was possibly a delivery semi, but I didn't see anyone unloading it) I got the 6 tacos 6 bean burritos( ask for onions on burritos) and 2 large drinks. I about died when told the price which was close to $30, but I know everything has increased and I told myself that the tacos are so full of meat that they were gonna be super good and would probably be great left overs for me and my boyfriend. WRONG!!! First of all, before my order was ready, there were 4 cars behind me, so it was a long wait time but I thought well they had to put onions on my burritos. ..NOPE NO ONIONS were added to burritos, I discovered after getting to my destination which luckily wasn't too far away. So I called the store first, guess I was thinking if I called then maybe they could just have me some chopped onions in a cup I could grab quickly as so i could enjoy my meal while it was hot...NOPE 6 phone calls with FAX machine picking up and I was driving back to store. Line super long so had to go inside. Waited 2 minutes or so before someone greeted me and asked me what I wanted to order. Explained situation, employee acted a bit dumbfounded and I handed receipt as so to prove I'd just been there and it said add onions on it. He talked to someone while I'm just suggesting just give me some onions in a cup because Im really wanting to get back to my meal. They give me the onions, kept my reciept which later I regreted because I had not tried a taco yet...OMG TACO SHELLS WERE NOT EVEN BAKED!! They were straight outta the boxed unheated and cold and tough just like when I once tried using cold unbaked shells out of the box. Hardly any meat or anthing in some of them, almost like they had ran out of ingredients. Had to undo and reassemble the burittos to add onions....yeah super bummed out experience, wasted time and gasoline. Not a good value at all nor good meal experience. Probably be like NEVER when I will be back. Sorely disappointed because WE LOVED THE TACOS AND...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have eaten here in the Ardmore Taco Casa many times, but yesterday might have been my last time. I placed an order, and accidentally forgot to tell them, Super Burrito with āno beansā. I got to the table and sat down, and saw that my receipt did not say āno beansā, as it usually does. I took my receipt to the cashier, and apologized, and told her. She turned around and said something to the man at the food bar making the meals. He looked up at me and said, āCan I help you?ā I held out my receipt, and as I was talking to him, I took a step inside by the soft drink fountains. This lady stepped out and said, āYou need to step back. You canāt come in here.ā I told her what the situation was, and that I was trying to let him know that I wanted āno beansā on my Super Burrito, and that I was trying to let them know before they made it. She said, āYou need to go out thereā, pointing to the lobby. I stepped back over by the plasticware table and watched them, waiting on them to call my name. I was watching this same lady as she began to prepare my burrito, she scooped up beans and spread them on the tortilla. I saw the man that I talked to standing next to her, and he told her, āHe asked for no beansā. I heard him clearly tell her. She finished the burrito, and put it on the tray along with the rest of our food. When I got back to the table, there were lots of beans, and maybe a tablespoon of meat. I was just going to eat it, but weād had several incidents over the past several months, so my wife picked up the tray, and took it back. She told her there were supposed to be āno beansā, and that there was hardly any meat on the burrito. The Lady told her that they go by the order on the screen, and it did not say, āno beansā. My wife pointed out that the receipt clearly shows that we asked for jalapenos with our meat nachos, but there were no jalapenos on the tray. The lady handed her some jalapenos, and turned and walked away. I donāt know whatās going on. Maybe she was just in a bad mood or something, but we've had a several similar incidents over the last couple of months. Like I said, it use to be very good, but their customer service has gone...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first visit to any Taco Casa. These are my thoughts. From the outside the restaurant is very attractive. The parking lot was very clean and large enough for lots of customers. Outside seating is available and the area was imaculate. The first place I went was the restroom. One urinal and one toilet. Two hand washing sinks. The restroom was not very clean. On the toilet the automatic flush control was not working. The young lady who took my order did not greet me or even ask what I would like. She simply stared at me until I began to order. No upsell or order suggestions were made. While waiting another gentleman who had already ordered and paid was noticably frustrated. After going to the counter and asking about the status of his order with his receipt in hand and not given his food he chose to leave because he was going to be late for work otherwise. No apology was offered to him and he simply lost his meal and money. This was probably going to be his meal at work. The restaurant was neater than the restroom, but still seemed to not be in the order it should be. My order took about 10 minutes to be ready in spite of at least 8 people working behind the counter. The food was good. I two things from the menu. One single item and 3 of another. The food looked good. The taste and temperature were underwhelming, however. When I arrived there were only a handful of tables occupied inside. The drive thru was full of at least 10 cars. Maybe the food quality suffered because of how busy it was at the time. But shouldn't the food quality be the same all of the time? I did really like how much cheese was given at first. The temperature made even that not so great. Free refills were given and the employee who helped me with mine was very nice and helpful. I asked for a price of a gallon of because despite a sign promoting the purchase of tea by the gallon I couldn't find the price on the menu. Even the shift manager was unsure and told me it was "like $3.69". I do recommend the sweet tea! But, I should have gone...
