Glacier Public Service Center — Attraction in Area H (Cultus Lake/Columbia Valley)

Stopped off here to get a map and some advice on local trails. They weren't official open but one of the members of staff, Mark, who was working in the grounds opened up the visitor centre just to get me a map and then took the time out to give me loads of helpful advice. You can't really ask for more than that - especially considering that these guys have been through hell recently with the hiring & firing fiasco brought about by "DOGE". My first time coming here was great. I arrived on Saturday at 9am and the place got busy within minutes! Allison was quick to assist me with my parking pass needs, but she went above and beyond when noticing I had a D.O.D. ID and informed me that active duty military get a year pass for free. This is the perfect to stop before hiking at Artist Point, Heliotrope and the myriad of trails in the area.

The restrooms are clean. When open the information provided from the centre is very useful.

The "artwork" is very cool, beautiful greenery surroundings make for a peaceful stop. There is also information on the board about safety and the area.
