Glacier Ski Shop — Local services in Area H (Cultus Lake/Columbia Valley)

Knowledgeable staff and great gear. But got totally harassed for asking for sizing on boots up front for my friend who is new to winter sports and accused of potentially buying online. Proceeded and asked questions about their backcountry rentals for myself and got a lecture on how the backcountry isn't safe, how they dont feel they should rent them because its not safe, as well as stories about how the associates friends have died in ski accidents due to negligence and general bad luck.

Rather than being professionals and informing and educating they seem more interested in selling rather than assisting people.

Overall not a great first experience as I search for a pro shop to frequent since moving up...

I hadn't skied in a few years due to some injuries. My first day back was extremely painful due to ill-fitting boots and problematic feet. Well, Joe at Glacier Ski Shop (a.k.a. "the boot whisperer") fixed that problem! He created custom foot beds for me, and gave my boot liners and shells a lot more breathing room for my ailing toes. Pure magic! Thank you Glacier Ski Shop. I prowled the internet for hours looking for a specific ski and binding set. I was reluctant to buy skis online, but I went ahead and placed the order. The next day, I called to assure that the order was received. I can't remember with whom I spoke, but he was kind, helpful, and answered my questions.
