Overall we had an enjoyable stay and the Snowater Community is a wonderful place to visit, but we had some communication issues with Luxury Getaways.

Before arriving for our stay I had reached out to inquire about fans in the unit since it was listed that there was no AC at Snowater and temperatures were forecast to be in the 80s the weekend of our trip. I received a reply that it was only forecast to be 75 so I could bring a fan if I wanted, but "We can also bring by a fan if the unit doesn't have one already which I'm pretty sure it does."

The day we arrived it was in the upper 80s and very uncomfortably hot inside. We called, texted, and emailed requesting a fan to be brought by with no response (besides the phone call, in which we were told the only thing available was a desk fan if we wanted to come pick it up from the office).

I did keep receiving automated messages, including a text asking how everything is going and to be sure to let you know if we should need anything during our stay (to which I replied saying it was very hot and the fan was broken, and received no response), and an email with the subject line, "Are you having the time of your life?", which felt out of place considering the lack of response to a fairly basic need to feel comfortable during our stay.

There were some other issues such as a broken microwave, screws missing and loose in the bunk bed, WiFi not working (which I understand is a common issue due to the remote area of that community and wasn't a deal-breaker), and the trash in the kitchen being full when we arrived, in addition to the broken fan.

I also submitted this same information directly to Luxury Getaways after we left hoping for a response or resolution, but received no response from the company. Unfortunately due to these issues and the lack of communication we will not be renting through this...

I booked Alpine Lodge for a weekend and overall it’s a great stay. Hot tub is always a plus for me, especially after one-day hiking. However, it’s not a perfect stay. First of all, the coffee maker is not cleaned, I found mould in the filter holder, which surprised me a lot. Secondly, there are some white fluffy stuff on some of the towels, which clearly is not part of the towel.

And last but not least, and perhaps the most challenging/interesting experience I had is that I did not receive any instructions regarding how to get connected to the network. There’s no instructions nor wifi password on the email before I checked in. When I arrived, while I was able to find the router, I failed to find the wifi name tagged on the router on my device. I also tried the password tagged on the router with all the available wifi on the list, but it worked for none of them. After making a phone call to the office (SORRY that I made this call at 8:30pm), I was told to visit the office the next day. With some additional trial and errors, I was able to identify the wifi name of the router, and I found that the TV has connected to the wifi already. And then it’s all about brute force trial and errors in order to get the wifi password. Thanks god, Sebastian The King was kind enough to come up with a straightforward password, and I was granted access to the network by showing my loyalty to my king. But team, all the inconvenience around network connection can be avoided by a more detailed instructions before check in, and some confirmation of the wifi availability prior to checkout. And please please make sure you do change the password of the router management account; it’s pretty easy to rename the wifi & redefine password. In case Sebastian The King has also modified the password of the router access, feel free to reach out to me for the wifi password I...

Mixed feelings about our stay at twin lakes retreat.

Firstly our check in experience was a bit of joke.

I had booked the accommodation the night before, filled in multiple verification forms but unfortunately missed the verification email.

We had spent the morning and afternoon hiking up at artist point in the mount baker area, which unfortunately has no cell service.

Upon getting signal at 4pm, I immediately signed the rental agreement.

I did not receive any confirmation of how to get into the property.

It turns out the staff member on duty decided to close the office early (it was due to close at 6pm) and go for a hike which had no cell service.

We hadn't been provided anyway to access the property or a contact number to reach him, so were left sat outside the locked office for over an hour at 6:30pm.

We called all the numbers provided using a phone at the grocery store but got no response.

The member of staff did finally turn up at 8:15pm.

The property itself is lovely and i would recommend it. It is really comfortable, modern, well furnished and has everything you need.

Parking and on site facilities are also great.

However the wifi didn't work for the duration of our 2 night stay. I did message to let them know, they said they would send somebody to sort it and never did.

This usually wouldn't be an issue but there was no cell service...

No wifi. When I told them we had no wifi they said they've been getting things rewired and have been having issues for weeks. I asked why they didn't give us a heads up and the response was "well wifi isn't guaranteed." (Well then why is it a listed amenity?) They did not respond to my follow-up asking if we could get access to the admin network we could see had reception. They're located in a dead zone (att & T-Mobile tested) and have TVs that require a WiFi connection. I'm not saying being offline is a bad thing, but it is if you're not prepared or planning for it. Additionally the town was under a hot water boil advisory and the people checking us in didn't think it was worth mentioning. Found out about it from the coffee shop the next morning after an evening of drinking contaminated tap water. Cool! After you leave, the "owner" sends a text asking for feedback and requesting that you leave a 5 star review. I got no response from my feedback, so here's my honest review instead. Edit: lovely response from the owner lying about the unreliable wifi being "in the listing" instead of taking responsibility for promised amenities they could not provide. Adding a screenshot of the listing.
