The most precious gift one can have is our children. So when we not only entrust the safety and well being of our kids with someone not to mention paying for a service hands down we should be provided just that. I dropped my son off at the kids park Arlington highlands location with his lunch around noon. I was not given the option to order him dinner like I should have been. I reached out around 5pm to inform them that I wasn’t given the option but I would like for him to have dinner. All the staff mentioned was that they ordered dinner already and that they could give him a snack. I was very upset that my child had been there for 6+hrs and no one thought while ordering the other kids dinner to reach out to me. I contacted the owner Heather she called me back and all she kept stating was I yelled at her staff. As a mother yes I was very upset but no profanity was used nor did I verbally attack anyone. I simply stated my concerns and frustrations to her staff which ended with no resolution. Either my son would only be provided a snack or I would leave work to pick him up which i did. Heather the owner did not allow me to state my concerns nor come up with a solution. She was very rude, unprofessional, and down right nasty. Instead of addressing the issue and coming up with a plan on how to successfully make sure no other child has to go through being hungry and watching other kids eat dinner while they are only offered a snack. She proceeded to make up the excuse that I yelled at her staff and again I stated I was upset like any mother would be but I would never disrespect anyone than she hung up in my face. No parent nor child should ever have to go through something like this ever. I would never recommend anyone to ever bring their precious babies here. If the owner would treat a parent like this imagine how the staff would treat your child. RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESPONSE: No plan was put in to place to fix your mistake/misunderstanding. There is no way me bringing a chick fil a meal that I stated my son was still snacking on was misunderstood for dinner that’s served at 7pm. It is your job as a child care facility to ensure the needs of every child you take on. If there was any doubt what my child would be eating I should have been notified. On top of that upon pick up my son had a head injury that was serious enough for him to need an ice pack and yet I was not contacted about that. So yes the least you could do was comp me for the terrible services that you provided. You were very unprofessional and not accommodating in anyway. Did not hear me out nor deescalate the situation. If these are skills you and your staff don’t obtain there is definitely some training needed before anyone trusts their precious angels with you or anyone who works for you. Thank you for the well wishes we will be just fine with more...
Read moreEdit: Just to be clear, Kids Park is fine for what they are intended to be. Use them like you would the daycare at your gym, and it'll be great. Older kids also wouldn't have a problem. Honestly my daughter really loves it there because she gets to play with older kids. She's just not old enough or mature enough to take care of herself all that well in an environment with the amount of freedom Kids Park has.
Original Review: We thought we could use Kids Park as a backup for when our Daycare is closed, but I'd advise anyone with toddlers or younger that the environment isn't great for all day care. My daughter is 2 1/2 and potty training still. They will not help with that, and they will not put them down for a nap. Also, after her last visit my daughter gulped down two bottles of water as soon as I got her in my truck. I've never seen her drink like that as we always keep water around for her. When I asked if she had gotten any water she said she only got milk. We had asked for milk with her lunch, so that means she probably went 5 hours without a drink. I'm sure if she'd asked they would have given her something, but she's to young and excited about playing with the other children to know when she needs to stop.
We've used them several times, but overall I've been unimpressed with the level of attention they can give younger children. This is fine if you just need them for a few hours, but not good if need them for a whole day and your...
Read moreTHIS REVIEW ORIGINALLY HAD 4 STARS BUT I NOW HAVE PLACED IT DOWN TO 1 STAR. It's an okay place to do a drop-in. Nice Activity days for the kiddos... The discounts sent through email and mail are also a plus! This place do not have a microwave or refrigerator which forces parents to either make sandwiches for the kids to eat (Must not contain peanut butter) or pay $5.50 additional to get a meal (now have nutritional options) that they order for the kids. The reason I have lowered the stars is because the last time I visited with them, I was 15 mins late in getting my daughter (Unexpected Road accident) I called ahead of time to let the girl know what happened... But they hit me over the head with fees. They charged me an hourly fee plus a late fee WHICH WAS A RIDICULOUS RATE. My daughter stayed approximately 3.23 hours and the late fee added up to $44.00. My total bill was $72.26 FOR 3 HOURS! THEY DIDN'T HAVE A ONE-TIME GRACE PERIOD NOR DID THEY EXPLAIN THIS WHEN I FIRST REGISTERED HER!!! The girl simply said it's in this book right here which is like a 30-page booklet on the table (who really reads that?) You would think that they would take the time to say when you first register your child.. don't be late one bit or you will be charged...
