We went back in December 15th, I decided to go here for my birthday. My daughter ordered from there for us when we were watching a movie together. I loved it so much I ordered from there later but I had never been to the restaurant and so we went for my birthday. I’m a sushi girl, my kids are into ramen. Over the phone they told my daughter the wait was 40 minutes which was literally 3-5 minutes before I walked in and when I got there, I live about 4 minutes away on Bardin, they said the wait time was over an hour. I put my name on the wait list and called my daughter I said hey it’s nice out, do we want to eat on the patio?? They said sure so I went back and got us a table on the patio. So yes we skipped the wait but it got cooler out there. LOL My girls were in the parking lot and came on in to the table. So the server, wearing festive dangling earrings, I did not catch his name, came and got our drink order and some appetizers. They mentioned they were expecting 2 large groups that evening when I asked about the wait for a table so I told the girls that and we kept that in mind while waiting on the server to get our order later after we got our devils and appetizers. But it was an especially long time. And I’m a pretty patient person. But it got ridiculous for me even. So my daughters went in and mentioned it and he came out a minute later, took our order and was gone. We got the ramen within somewhat a decent wait but the sushi, which was all I ordered, took way too long. Everyone was done eating the ramen and I was still waiting on my food. My daughter went in and said something again and he came out with the food. My girls like this place and recommend I go back during a less busy time. And I MIGHT but I worked as an assistant manager in fast food so I know how crazy it can get but you should still check on your tables. Letting them know something like- I’m sorry but we have some rather large groups inside, I don’t mean to allow it to take up my time. Speaking to customers goes a long way. Apologizing for the wait. You cannot fully keep the wait down at all times. It’s also not necessarily your fault and nothing you can fully control but you can control how you handle the situation and this young man could have done a better job with his communication to us. If he was working one or both large groups, he could have gotten someone to see if we needed more water or whatever. I just feel he could have done a better job with us. I honestly believe he kept forgetting us. We were there way too long....

Update as of 10/3/25: I’m so sad!! Went with a friend and got seated at a table with sticky spilled drink at our feet, the side of the chair was sticky as well. Quality for the food went downhill for the Shoyu Ramen, the broth is tasteless now, and the Philly roll I ordered- the sweet eel sauce at the bottom had so much of it that nothing else could be tasted.

7/9/25 review: Went here on my bday last week Wednesday with friends, got the shoyu ramen and it was a solid 7/10 for me! Broth was seasoned so well, the pork belly was soft and tender. The little white swirly fish cake things were also really good. Loved it over all, below is the rating of everything i ordered with a short description

-Takoyaki: 8/10 super good, the little Benito flakes always great, sauce on point and not too much of it that it drowns out the flavor of the fried octopus ball.

-California roll: 9/10 went at happy hour so it was $5. This tastes so good, it’s basic but always a home run imo. At sprouts supermarket the sushi section has this too but the sprouts is a 5/10 for me.

-shoyu ramen: 7/10. Broth was stellar and seasoned great!! I wish I added in some mushrooms and corn but I wanted to try it as is. A little bit of spice to it would have also boosted its rating. The bamboo shoots tasted a bit funny, almost sour or it had gone bad I’m not sure how else to describe it. But def would swap out the bamboo for something else if you can. The soy based broth was interesting but when I was getting to the bottom of the bowl that soy sauce taste got hella strong

-green tea ice cream with chocolate syrup 6/10: I got this for free because it was my bday. It was a very interesting flavor, green tea had a light airy taste and the chocolate syrup overpowered it a bit. Not the sweetest ice cream but makes you feel healthier since it’s green...

Hello,

I am reaching out to you regarding a very unpleasant incident that occurred at your Arlington, TX location on 309 Curtis Mathes Way. My family and I have been loyal customers of this location for four years, but our recent experience has left us deeply disappointed.

We arrived at around 7:30 pm and were told there was a 25-minute wait. While waiting with our two daughters in the lobby, the manager on duty (a short, bald man) rudely asked us to move to our car and wait there instead. We were shocked by this request, but we complied and waited on a small bench instead. We noticed that other customers who were asked to wait in their cars ended up leaving to dine elsewhere.

During our wait, we saw three tables that remained uncleaned for at least 10-12 minutes, as well as three stools in the bar area with dirty glasses that were not cleared. When I brought this up to the manager, he became defensive and dismissive, insisting that he was fully staffed and that there were other people ahead of us on the waiting list. As the conversation became increasingly heated, the manager became more hostile and mistreated me. He even went so far as to remove us from the waiting list, effectively kicking us out of the restaurant.

This was an incredibly disappointing experience for my family and me. We hope that you will take steps to address this situation and ensure that other customers are not subjected to such poor treatment as well as customer service in the future.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope someone could give me a call to discuss this.

Best...

If you're a fan of ramen, you absolutely have to try Piranha Killer Ramen in Arlington. This hidden gem is hands down the best ramen place in the DFW area and it's one of my favorite places to go for a delicious meal. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and every time I've visited, the service has been outstanding. On my last visit, Tina served us and she was super attentive, kind, and knowledgeable! Now, let's talk about the food. I tried several dishes including The Gyoza, chicken ramen, break bad roll, and spicy edamame, and every single dish was perfect. The Gyoza was crispy and flavorful (I love the dipping sauce), the chicken ramen was packed with flavor and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The Break Bad roll was incredibly delicious, and the spicy edamame had just the right amount of kick with load of flavor! The attention to detail in the food preparation is outstanding and you can really taste the quality in every dish. The ramen is absolutely amazing and it's clear that a lot of care and expertise goes into the preparation of each bowl. Overall, I can't recommend Piranha Killer Ramen in Arlington HIGHLY enough. It's a true gem and a must-visit for anyone who loves ramen. The food is outstanding, the service is amazing, and the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. Five stars all around!

I always enjoy this place. Their ramen is amazing. I have gotten the shoyu and the chicken ramen, I often add chili oil and nori and it tastes better. Only thing I wish is that they had more options for add ins and customization. But either way they have the best ramen in the area so I’m happy. I also have tried the salmon ceviche and thought it was cooked really well. They have a sushi bar, but the people don’t really interact there and it’s not glass so you really can’t see what’s going on like at other sushi bars. The bar is pretty small so it’s often full at certain times but that’s typical. Really tasty food. I find their happy hour is a much better deal, otherwise the appetizers are way too expensive in my opinion but they are half off during happy hour. I tried the new cucumber salad and I did not like it, it tasted very fishy. I normally like fish but I guess I wasn’t expecting that taste. However the lady gladly offered to remove it and replace it with something else and I didn’t even ask. I really liked that because I didn’t want to be rude but she was a great server. Anyways, I recommend this place if you like ramen because they really do know what they are doing! They may not offer a lot of customization options but honestly at places that do the food isn’t as good so maybe that’s intentional.

Piranha Killer Ramen is my absolute favorite place to go and eat a good filling meal at a good price! I’ve been going to Piranha Rame for about 3 years now and it hits EVERY time. Their Spicy Miso is my favorite ramen dish to get. I add kimchi, mustard green, a marinated egg, and mushrooms. Angel, a server at this location is so awesome! He is the most kind, patient, and attentive server I’ve ever had. My friend and I recently went this past Friday for her to try Ramen for the first time. We had the privilege of having Angel as our server. He explained all the menu options she was interested in, in detail and allowed her to change the dish when she didn’t like her original pick. He’s kindness made her comfortable enough to want to come back and try more ramens in the future. Best time to go is 11am-3pm for their lunch hours to receive reduced prices on their ramen. Piranha also offers happy hour from 3pm-7pm I believe for reduce priced appetizers like their gyoza, salmon roll, karaage, etc. This spot is located in the Arlington Highlands so it’s a great area to hang out, grab food, and enjoy some entertainment. Of course, I recommend trying this restaurant out if you’re in the area. Hope this review helps!
