***UPDATE*** After months of effort disputing the charges from this motel with my bank and the Choice Hotels Corporate office, I not only received my money back from my bank, but I received additional compensation from Choice Hotels as I submitted the pictures, email exchanges from Nisha Parikh (supposedly a manager) and a witness statement from my friend who traveled with me. I had effectively proven that this motel was not only extremely substandard, roach infested and unsafe, but they are dishonest and unethical. Quality Inn falsely stated in a document that they sent to my bank that my friend and I stayed the night and only complained at checkout. This was an outright lie as we checked out 2-3 hours after arriving due to all of the issues previously stated and photographed. I had also supplied my bank and Choice Hotels screenshots of the multiple calls that were made during the short time we were there trying to get a resolution. So, not only was the front desk staff as well as management nonresponsive when we were there, they lied about the situation in an attempt to not have the charges reversed. This is a very dishonest and unethical business. Quality Inn, it pays to be honest. Learn this! DO NOT STAY HERE-Very unsafe, filthy, live roach in the bed, non working AC and fridge..no response or resolution from front desk. If a zero star rating were possible then this place would get a negative zero. We asked a week in advance if we could check-in at 2pm on Friday, August 18th and we were assured we could at the front desk. We arrive at 4:15pm and the room wasn't ready due to the "housekeepers are slow", so we didn't get checked in until 4:48. I had a meet/greet and concert to be at and needed to shower and get ready to leave by 5:15pm, so I missed out on that. We requested extra towels/toiletries since there were two of us and they said housekeeping would bring them-never did. We pull up to our room and there's a homeless camp right on the other side of the parking lot with dogs barking and crying..it was 110° out. The transients were coming and going from the hotel to the camp. In the corridor right next to our room, there was a homeless person with a small cage that had 3-4 dogs, no water bowls and again dogs seemed to be in distress from the heat and cramped cage. Two people in the parking lot were having a very public argument. It was extremely disheartening and scary situation. The room smelled bad, the AC and the fridge weren't cooling properly. We called the front desk and reported it and asked again for the towels/toiletries..they said they would send maintenance..never showed up or called, nor did the towels show up. Due to the unsafe environment outside, I told my friend that I couldn't leave her there alone to go to the concert that we drove up from San Antonio to see as she had her dog and would have to take him outside alone after dark. We called the non emergency police department about the people and dogs in distress, so they sent Animal Control Services. In the meantime, my friend pulled down the sheets and there was a live roach on the bed. We decided that there was no way we were spending the night there under those circumstances. We had to get a room outside of Arlington 45 minutes away and load everything back up..then we saw a used condom that wasn't there before. We have pictures of the roach and the condom..showed the front desk lady..she said that I would get a refund, however on the receipt in the app they are stating that we checked out the next day. Just a filthy, disgusting room and area..along with staff that lie. I have disputed the charges with my bank and will be filing complaints with the corporate office. I am also expecting to be compensated for the cost of the missed meet/greet and concert that I couldn't get to because of the unsafe, unsanitary environment along with a non working AC and fridge. I've not seen any Quality Inn like this ever before..totally unsafe, filthy, staff never responded to any of our requests or issues and management doesn't return phone calls.

Not a bad place for the price. My AC went out at home a few miles away and the repair people can’t get out until tomorrow. With 105 degree temperatures the choices were a hotel or no sleep in a hot house. This hotel had availability for two nights (which I booked in case it takes more than a day to fix my AC) so I took it. It’s motel-style. The doors are all exterior. Not sure how long it’s been here, it’s definitely older, but they are trying to keep the place looking fresh. Painters were outside doing all the walls and stairwells when I got here. The guy at the front desk was friendly enough. No issues with checking in. I couldn’t get the room key to work twice but it turned out to be me not holding it in the correct spot. They seem to have a lot of room key issues though. When I got back to the hotel today the door lock flashed red when I tried to use the room key and the front desk had to reprogram the key. There was also another customer at the front desk complaining about the same thing. The rooms are adequate. Dated but functional. Some cosmetic issues, nothing that makes the room unusable. There’s sort of a musty smell around the entire place. If I wasn’t in a hurry I’d probably have run out to get some Febreeze or something but it’s not so bad that it’s unbearable. The room AC is very good, even in the heat we’re having at the moment. The beds could use updating along with the pillows. The beds have a lot of bounce, like riding in the back of a 1980s Oldsmobile and the pillows are small and square. They’ll work for me, I don’t move much in the night. The tv in the room is pretty big by any hotel’s standards. What’s really good about the spot though is that the Highlands are right behind the hotel. You can walk there in 2 minutes. All the food and shopping you could want. Would I recommend it for a long vacation? Likely not. But for a spot to stay when I was in a bind, I’m glad it’s here.

Was Horrible. Our room the tv did not work. I called the operator, lady answered said she would send someone. Worker came to look he smelled so bad i didn't want to stand near him. When he came into the room, I went to close the door. He told me to leave the door open. The door would swing close if let go. It did not stay open. He said he couldn't see. Instead if turning light more on or asking to. He asked me to hold the door open. I did until i grabed a chair to put in front of the door to hold it. He couldn't fix TV. He Said he would talk to the lady at the desk and have her move our room. As he was looking at the TV he started to tell us about his Co workers being inappropriate. When they go in to fix things for customers. They sit on the bed, sit on the chairs. They spend too much talking to the customers. However he was talking more with us too. Which was ok to be friendly but when you already said it couldn't be fixed, he continued talking. He also noticed we were Hispanic. He asked if we knew Spanish. I said yes, not perfect or great bit i could. He asked my mom. Her reply was the same. He then said to us that we should be talking spanish and not english. We let him know we do talk Spanish when we need to. Then the conversation went to spanish on both sides. He said again that with being our race we should not be speaking English. He is not my family or my father or grandfather to tell me what language i need to be speaking. He said she would call after he spoke to her. After waiting 30 mins with no call. I called 4 times. Line would ring, picked up and sounded like disconnected each time. I walked to the office. I told her that the man said we would be switching rooms. She said OK. I asked for a new key to move and she said she couldn't give me one till mine was turned in. I let her know that we were dropped off and we need the room to take our things to before we could give the key said. Was told no was policy for first key to be turned in. I didn't want to argue. Said we would figure it out and I gave her the key. The next room started ok then went down hill. I went to iron. I filled the iron up. It immediately started dripping fast water from the sides and bottom. I already had a difficult time with things I chose not to call about needing a different iron. Ironed with water dripping. Had to refill 4 times to iron 1 pair of pants. I then got a towel to pick up water from cabinet at the sink. Then water from the floor of the sink area. My towel turned black. I took a photo. Rooms are supposed to be kept move in ready. If a simple mop didn't happen between many visits for the one area to be that black. I don't trust the rest of the cleaning. I advised my mom to not ever walk with her socks off. I didn't complain because this was my second room and I was going to be gone the day from 6am till midnight. I only needed to sleep. Since I didn't trust the cleaning we did not shower during our two nights there. I paid to go shower somewhere else. We came in as late as I thought 1am. When I went to check out I let things be and said nothing. The gentleman at the desk how our stay was. I then said horrible. I told him what I have written here. He asked to verify my number. He would make notes of my comment and his supervisor might call me. He was nice and he apologized. He offered me the free breakfast or a drink. I said no thank you on the breakfast. If i don't trust your cleaning a room, i definitely don't trust the kitchen. We went to eat breakfast else where both days. He offered me a beverage. I accepted on if it was sealed. I accepted a coke. As of this message. No one...
