Update: I haven't been here in a long time and was quickly reminded why. Our server, who's name is couldn't get, was absolutely terrible! She was rude and we had to send food back bc it came out cold. We had to ask another server to help us bc ours treated us like we didn't exist. You pay $16 for boneless wings that come out partially breaded and cold tots. I was informed the last time I came that the sides come out cold bc they start it at the other end of the line. We ordered the loaded cheese tots app and it came out hot but with shredded cheese instead of queso. When I asked our server she said she asked if shredded cheese was OK. No she didn't. I even confirmed with my daughter that she never asked that. I would avoid the Arlington location as much as possible. I've been to 1 other location before and it was the one in Dallas. They are too pricey to be serving child food and have poor service. If the manager was around, they were wearing the same as the server bc i never seen them. Steven was our bartender. He was great. He was friendly and checked up on us constantly. We ordered boneless wings with tots, bone in wings with tots, Tox Tea, Frozen Straw Mar, and the Irish Trash Can with Watermelon Red Bull. Everything was amazing! The alcoholic beverages were on point as always. We get the tots bc they have seasoning. The only way we will get the waffle fries is if they are loaded. They taste bland and gross otherwise. They are always busy. It's best to join the wait list through the app! We also love doing the challenges on the app too.

Pluckers is one of our favorite spots to come to in the DFW area! The wings are huge and delicious and the atmosphere is always fun! We’ve come to the Pluckers at the Arlington Highlands several times now and we always have a good time. The wait can sometimes get pretty long, but it’s almost always worth it. The portions are quite filling and generous for what you’re paying for, I always leave with a full stomach and usually some leftovers as well! The wings here are also much larger than at most places and have excellent sauces and seasoning. Additionally, I LOVE the waffle fries that they come with. Some of the other appetizers are hit or miss, although the Holy Mac Appetizer is to DIE for, in my opinion. Others, such as the mozzarella sticks, are just okay, however. The service here is usually relatively quick and efficient, although sometimes they can have quite the attitude! Overall, it’s not too big of an issue though. The atmosphere in the restaurant is lively and boisterous! I love the patio area as well, which is covered and comfortable in all sorts of weather. I love the creative names and colors/flavor combinations for the alcoholic beverages. The strength of them is way too weak for my taste, if you ask me! Put more liquor in, please! To conclude, Pluckers isn’t perfect and certain aspects could use improvement, but it’s an overall win that keeps me coming back every time. The reasonable prices, yummy drinks and generous portions of wings, combined with a fun atmosphere leaves it as a recommended spot in my book!

My boyfriend and I go to pluckers all the time. So much so that we’re Gold members. Every single time we come to the Arlington location we are left ignored. One time we were sat and nobody tended to us for 45 minutes. A party was sat AFTER us and their appetizers all came out before our order was taken. We still continued to give them a chance continuously with little issues here and there but today we were sat at the bar and only my food was brought out. Nobody checked on us for 20 minutes after the food was brought out and it was then I was able to tell the bartender about my boyfriend’s food not being brought out. 20 minutes passed and then a plate of grilled wings came out (he ordered monster boneless wings not grilled) they took the food back and another 20 minutes went by before we just asked for both our food to be boxed and the tab because we had somewhere else to be soon. The tab was never brought to us and the bartender was nowhere to be found. We found a manager behind the bar and told her the issue, she seemed very annoyed with us and offered to take off our appetizer. We didn’t need this as we are Gold members and we got the appetizer for free. Once we told her this she continued to grow irritated and just handed us the kiosk to pay the full price. We have given this location several chances but we will no longer be coming here and we will be telling our friends not to come to this location as well. Editing because once we spread the word, others came out with their horror stories of this location.

Visit Attempt: 4th Date: 05/04/2025 Time of Arrival: Approximately 3:45–3:50 PM

This was our fourth visit to this location, and sadly, it was by far the most frustrating and disappointing.

We were seated promptly and greeted by our server, who brought four waters and a tea fairly quickly. She offered an appetizer, and we ordered the sampler, which arrived in a reasonable time. After that, we placed our entrée orders: buffalo chicken salad, buffalo bites meal, BLT meal, and a tender wing basket.

After placing our order, we waited over 55 minutes with no food. During that time, we observed at least seven tables, all seated after us — some with larger parties — receive their meals, eat, and leave.

What stood out most was the lack of awareness and attention from our server. She passed by our table numerous times, made eye contact, even delivered food to other tables around us, but never once stopped to check on our order or provide an update.

Eventually, she informed us of a server shift change. The new server came by, introduced himself, and said the food would be out shortly. But it still didn’t come. After more time passed and even more tables were served, I called him over and asked him to check on our food.

The original server then returned and said something unclear. I told her directly: if the food hadn’t been prepared yet, we didn’t want it. We’d simply pay for the appetizer and leave. She responded, “No, it’s in… well, I’m not sure. I’ll go check.”

Shortly after, the new server came back and said the food was on the way. Still, more time passed. Then, another woman (not one of our two servers) brought out the food, said they were “backed up,” offered excuses, and said to let her know if we needed anything.

When the new server came by again, I asked what happened. He finally admitted that our ticket had been lost. They had no idea where it went or how long the food had been sitting.

By this point, we were understandably upset — not just by the delay, but by the lack of honesty. We had given the staff an opportunity to cancel the order if it hadn’t been made. Instead, we were told it was “on the way” several times, only to find out the ticket was lost and the food had been delayed even further.

When we checked the food, it was cold — chicken tenders, BLT, buffalo bites, fries — all cold. Only the salad was acceptable. My son ate the bites, but my daughter and I didn’t eat our meals.

When the server returned, I told him my food was cold and I no longer wanted it. He apologized and took the plate back. In the end, only my son ate anything. The rest of us left hungry and packed up food we weren’t planning to eat.

The manager eventually came over with a gift card for a free appetizer and said she had the wings redone. While the gesture was appreciated, it didn’t address the real issue: we came to dine in and were left waiting for over an hour, only to receive cold food, unclear communication, and no real accountability.

This experience was frustrating from start to finish. We were courteous, patient, and respectful throughout the visit, yet we were repeatedly overlooked and given contradictory information. We were told the food was coming, only to later learn the ticket had been lost entirely. That’s not a service delay — that’s a breakdown in operations and communication.

I strongly encourage upper management to review the footage from this date and time to fully understand how this unfolded. The food was rushed out, never quality-checked, and clearly not freshly made. Cold tenders, cold BLT, cold fries, cold bites — all unacceptable for any restaurant.

We also felt misled. Had we been told the truth when we asked if the order had been placed, we would have respectfully canceled and left. Instead, we were told what we wanted to hear, and the result was a ruined meal and an even worse experience.

At this point, I don’t think this location is a good fit for us. I hope this review helps drive meaningful improvement because no guest should leave feeling...

Oh men… Where do I start… I was excited to spend time with my family on father’s day, but this place left me no desire to ever come back again….

I will be posting one of my lengthiest reviews so far because there was so much that others need to know, and this is not exactly what I expected out of a restaurant with so much competition around and that I used to cater out of many years ago. You have to stand out and be the best and keep upgrading and updating with the times.

So, here we go…

  1. Restaurant and Booths were dirty, and the booth we sat at, had holes and the table was sticky and barely was cleaned.
  2. Most of our orders were wrong… Most of us ordered boneless wings and got bone/in and not the flavors we wanted. It was like, just make a bunch and throw them in the plates and they’ll eat it if they’re hungry, which we were, because the food took over an hour to be served and this was for 9 people… 4 of them children.. Just imagine how many times the kids were asking for their food…
  3. We also ordered the waffle fries, but these did not arrive with our meals, they were brought to us almost at the end because I think they forgot, even though we asked several times for them. It got to the point that we asked the server (very nice person, but not proactive - needs a lot of training on how to take orders); to cancel the fries and the server said that she couldn’t do it because they were making them (again, not brought with our main plates. Once. The fries were brought to us, I actually only ate 2 and left the rest because they were cold as ice, and my appetite was gone.
  4. One of us ordered a salad and they forgot the dressing, which was not very nice to see a family member not enjoying their food.
  5. My wings were not cooked and I feel I got food poisoning, because I have been feeling nauseous and haven’t eat that well since Sunday and today is Friday… Think about that!

Anyhow, the food was awful. Not sure this is how the founders wanted their restaurants to be run (I actually had a lot if time to read their old, sticky and dirty menus that has the history of how pluckers was founded by 3 friends) It is important this review is read by the restaurant manager as they sure need to retrain their staff and take a good look at the cooks, because they don’t know how to run tickets to ensure meals are delivered complete and not in parts.

Plucker Founders: If you need someone to check what is good and bad with your restaurants, contact me and I will be honest and fair… I can make sure I give you a detailed report of your restaurants.

At the restaurant manager: Not the best experience for a Father’s Day… Looks like you need to hold people accountable so this doesn’t happen again.

This review is not meant to upset anyone, but to make sure things are looked at and improve for future clientele.

I usually take pictures of my food, but this time I had no desire to do so, because food took so...

The wings: AMAZING as always. Tonight, the service and overall front of house was absolutely terrible. It took 20 minutes for our server to come to our table. She took the order for an 8-top behind us, then straight over to take a 5-top's order, then over to us. You can imagine how the rest of the night went. After we ordered, it took 15 minutes just to get our Cokes. The food came out correctly, and it was delicious. Our drinks were empty, and asked our server for refills. She grabbed our cups, walked away with them and didn't come back with them. There were problems with the food at her 8-top and basically every other table around including us were completely ignored. A kitchen manager came to the 8-top, but it didn't occur to him to check on the other guests, or at least direct someone else to. When you're looking around waiting for things constantly, and see several employees chatting and hanging around the point of sales and kitchen area, it's just plain aggravating. How does no one notice we have no drinks for 30 plus minutes? Then, we waited 30 more minutes after we finished eating for the check. My husband had to get up and ask the kitchen manager that was standing behind the host stand for the check. The 5-top was doing the same thing, walking around trying to pay their bill. He asked a different server to bring us our check, and she ran our credit card at the take-out point of sales behind the host stand. She was gracious and apologized to us. But three hours just to eat wings and tater tots, from 9pm-midnight. There was a supervisor of some sort, wearing a hat, that was getting drink refills and bringing checks to some tables around us. Our server went missing for long periods of time. We didnt want to complain, just wished the supervisor or even another server would've stepped up to at least bring our basic things like drinks and the check. My husband went to the restroom at one point, and there was an employee sitting on the sink smoking his vape. I'm sure all of this is unacceptable to the standards of the company. You have a great product, but you definitely need someone paying...
