The zoo is always a wonderful place to visit, and the work they do there is really important. I got lucky this visit and had almost every animal present and active, rather than resting somewhere in the enclosure. I was also really excited to find out about the zoo trekker program that started since the last time I'd been. Always love coming back

This spot features the animals in the colder parts of North America in their habitats. We loved the polar bear because he was active. So were the sea lions.

DEBBIE!!! OMG! 😀 I did a zoo tour across the states a couple of years ago and had forgotten that I HAD already been to this zoo. That is until I called regarding parking and spoke with very very helpful and kind Debbie. I swore, “could this be the same lady?” I’M SURE OF IT!

When I visited the first time, I came all the way from Tampa (on a budget, with a camper trailer) and had forgotten my AZA zoo pass. Debbie was incredibly kind in offering me her family pass so I could get in. She was a lifesaver! I NEED animal enrichment for my PTS and destress from rugged travel.

So when I called about trailer parking she very helpful turn-by-turn information. I wish I had recalled the visit before our call ended.

DEBBIE YOU’RE A GEM! I’ll be sure to swing by and say hi on Saturday (hopefully you’re working)

All the best!! 😘

BTW - it takes a LOT for me to provide a...

North America side. This area has multiple viewing areas at different levels, inside and outside viewing options, over and under water viewing options, complete with sea birds, polar bears, arctic foxes, seals, and a porcupine.

The puffins are very active and watching them zoom around on top of the water and even their diving ability is a great watch. The polar bear is massive yet beautiful. Signage detailing all of the aforementioned creatures.

One of the better exhibits at the zoo when all the animals meant for it are there. I mention this as I have been here numerous times and the polar bears weren't there for...
