A cool place to pet some animals, see some chickens, and learn about the farm at the Biltmore Estate. The Biltmore estate is a tourist attraction in Asheville, NC. The estate includes a mansion, winery, stables, and a beautiful drive. Each of these is a treasure in its own right. The winery location is on the northwest corner of the estate. The area by the winery has several spaces to visit like the wine shop, winery, courtyard, hotel, and Farmyard. The farmyard is located right next to one of the main parking lots so getting there is easy and parking should not be a problem. It is well-marked with numerous signs near the entrance. There was the main entrance with open stalls on either side of a central courtyard. There was a staff member who was very friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had about the farm or the animals. There was a calf in a shaded spot in the center of the courtyard that you could pet. A stall to one side was full of several different varieties of chickens. It was dusty but fun and worth the visit. It is a great place to take kids to see a farm and some animals and learn about farm life.

A great place to bring the kids. They have some great barnyard animals. & with a large picnic shelter and playground nearby, along with shops & restaurants in the village, it's the perfect outlet for children at Antler Hill Village on Biltmore Estate!!!

My son had a fantastic time he especially liked the little black an white speckled chicken and all the baby animals. He had a blast and I believe he would have stayed there and at the Carriage/riding stables all day!

Even for someone from farm country, it's fun to see the different animals. We were there earlier in the morning, and some of the animals were still sleeping! It is a good spot for kids to see the animals, but be advised that you may not be able to see all of the animals at a given time. Also note that you won't be on a paved sidewalk or trail if you want to get close to the building or near...

The farmyard at the Biltmore is included in your admission, but it's on the opposite side of the property from the Biltmore house. They have a mix of goats, pigs, and chickens. Kids will likely enjoy it, but there's so much more to see on the property. If you're pressed for time, this...
