This is a new and unique one of a kind experience. I highly recommend this. We went to the Biltmore with advanced tickets to the house, the backroom tour and the rooftop tour. This experience allows you to visit and climb into the upper chambers of the house on the top floor to learn more about the architecture, design and construction of the house. You get to see the George Vanderbilts own personal study where he spent time before going up his spiral staircase and out onto the roof of the Mansion. There are two locations including the front center upper windows of the main entrance that take you out directly over the front of the house with a view that is breathtaking! Afterwards, you are taken into an attic and around the back of the roof to stand literally on top of the main staircase where the chandelier hangs on the roof. There are some Incredible views, statues and architecture that are explained by your guide with an amazing story of how the house was built and all of its amazing history. If you are a fan of a true behind the scenes experience then this is for you. The rooftop tour is about an hour and will take you to some truly incredible parts of the house previously off limits. An incredible experience and a must for all visitors of...

Scenes from The Private Eyes (with Don Knotts playing Inspector Winship, a bumbling American detective working for Scotland Yard with his partner played by Tim Conway) were shot in the room behind the Honeypot Bear.
Don't forget to rub the rooftop gargoyles butt for luck before you...
