(Update for 2024) the ride itself is great & fun. The ride operators are SLOW. It shouldn't take 2 hours to go from the door leading to the indoor quen to the station platform. There is NO excuse. Do better. Do I need to come back and get your employees properly trained? That's what I used to do at the park, and clearly you guys need my help, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this.
Also, the ride originally came with 4 trains. 4. It seems like you guys only have 2 trains, even on high capacity days. That's not acceptable in any universe. Call Premiere Rides, and get 2 more trains. TF were you thinking getting rid of trains when you need them?!
Idk why people say they are getting a headache on this ride. There is no part of this ride that is super rough, bumpy, or anything thing that would cause somebody to get a headache. Flight of Fear is smooth & fun. It's not in total darkness anymore which is sad, and the themeing has really gone downhill, but its still a fun ride. If KD would update the themeing, put in real black lights in the coaster part, bring back the flashing lights, fog and sound effects in the launch tunnel, that would be awesome. (For 2024) the wheels need to be looked at, they sound like they are developing flat spots in the polyurethane mix used for the wheels.
Now Anaconda.... THAT will cause massive headaches and...
Read moreMy favorite roller coaster of all time. First of all, it's nice for a change to stand in some shade during a hot summer day, especially during a long line. Speaking of lines, of which are dreadful for most riding experiences, this ride makes the line wait an experience in itself. Turning the inner aircraft hangar into what appears to be a model of Area 51, complete with an inner flying saucer, this ride has it all. Unlike most coasters, this one shoots straight down a long tunnel like a bullet with little warning. I love it. It is dark inside and there is a lot of loops to the point that you do not know which direction you are pointing often, but it isn't bad. My head is never hurting at the end (I cannot say the same thing about the Anaconda). I hope this ride lasts for many more...
Read moreI have always liked the restraint system on this ride, because it's easy loading and comfortable. I love the inversion and the dark and the fact that it's got neat light effects. In the last few years, though, KD has been making annoying changes, like turning on most of the house lights, which ruins the effects. And they've also kept the air conditioning off in the queue house in the dead of summer. Why? It's frustrating that this ride goes away at Halloween because the attractions that go in its place are NEVER as good as the ride. If they'd put the doll factory in this building, I might grant a pass, but it's been attractions like the alien bugs and the "escaped prisoners," which are just not worth shutting...
