Worth visiting if you're anywhere nearby. If it has been extremely dry, you won't see much from the falls but most of the time it's very impressive, and you can usually see folks down on the trail enjoying the falls from behind and below. For handicapped folks, there's a well-maintained slightly sloped ramp with handrails the whole way. But note it is several hundred feet of walking from the parking lot so you need a bit of stamina or avail yourself of the couple of resting benches. You can also take steps down from the end of the ramp and see the falls from the WPA-era (NON-handicapped accessible) overlook, but the views of the falls are no better. Read moreThe over look is alright. You can almost see the whole waterfall. The trail in my opinion is definitely not worth the hike even on a cool day. It's about 2 miles long and about a quarter of it is hiking down or up the mountain using steep steps made of rock. You will need plenty of water and snacks. You can get easily winded going back up the mountain. At one point me and my girlfriend felt like we were gonna pass out and we had to take about 15 breaks on the way back up. Petti Jean and Cedar Falls is a gem in Arkansas! Despite the trail being short, it can be a bit challenging due to the rocky terrain and varying elevation. However, the effort is absolutely worth it.
