Such a beautiful trail! Almost exactly 2 miles. The trailhead is on the other side of the building, you can walk through the covered "breezeway." You'll walk up to an overlook and the trailhead is on the left! When we got there, a few people coming back up said they saw a snake just a few feet into the trail but we didn't see it. Just keep your eyes open! Absolutely beautiful trail, first about 1/2 mile is down some rocky steps. Not too difficult but not particularly easy coming back up. The trail comes to a bridge and a fork (with a sign) go right to go to the falls. Takes you another half mile along the creek to the base of the falls. Such a gorgeous area. You can walk along the edges to get closer to the falls, but NOT for beginners- very steep and slick. Loose sand/rock. Please be careful! Spent about 2 hours hiking and enjoying the falls. Not many other people there when we went but could tell it was a...
Read moreWe visited the 95 ft Cedar Falls last October on a rainy day, and it was absolutely stunning. There are two ways to see the falls: 1. Hike to Cedar Falls Overlook (0.3 mile out and back - Easy) 2. Hike to the bottom of Cedar Falls (1.9 mile out and back - moderately challenging).

Read moreIt was definitely worth the 30 minute hike to enjoy the breeze and cold water from the waterfall. We hiked a two hour trail in Gatlinburg, Tennessee last year to see "Rainbow Falls" and I didn't think it was worth it. We didn't want to leave but other people arrived and we didn't want to be selfish:D Went AGAIN the next day and I can truly say that the second time around was a better hike experience. NOT knowing what you're getting yourself into is kind...
