I want to like this place but last year when I went, it left such a bad taste in my mouth I couldn't stand to go back. The barber was amazing, I got a buzz cut with slight fade on the side which took about 10 minutes to complete. I was expecting to pay $10 but the manager or assistant-manager who was running the cash-register was arguing with the barber over the price. It was really uncomfortable watching this guy argue that my cut wasn't a buzz and that I should pay $40 bc I got a slight fade on the side. he comes up to the register and with a smiles tells me they've come of a compromise that I should pay $15 dollars more than I expected ($25 total), but only this one time. he says this like he's giving me a great deal. He tells me the next time I came in I would have to pay $40, which I took as if he was saying "pay up or don't come back". I try to tell him that I can't pay $40 a week bc my hair grows back quickly, which he argued that it would last much longer. I guess he knew my body better than I did. I didn't push the issue cause I could tell this guy would have made the barber paid the difference if I didn't. I had the pleasure of visiting American Haircuts at Ainsley Mall for a haircut, and I must say, my experience with Chris was nothing short of amazing! First and foremost, Chris's warm and welcoming demeanor immediately put me at ease. He took the time to listen attentively to my preferences and concerns, ensuring that he understood exactly what I wanted from my haircut. It was clear that he genuinely cared about creating a style that suited both my personality and facial features. Throughout the entire process, Chris’s attention to detail was impeccable and meticulous Not only was Chris a skilled hair artist, but he was also a fantastic conversationalist. He effortlessly engaged in friendly banter, making the experience even more enjoyable. It's not every day that you come across someone who not only gives you a top-notch haircut but also leaves you with a smile on your face. The barbershop itself had a clean and modern ambiance, contributing to a comfortable atmosphere. It’s been a struggle trying to find the right barbershop. I’m relatively picky about my haircut (as I’m sure most of us are) and I’ve been to countless barbers across Atlanta trying to find the right fit. Eventually I stumbled upon this location. The staff has always been pleasant and in a good mood, never hesitating to greet customers with a smile when we walk through the door. My specific barber (Christopher) has always welcomed me with the same hospitality. He never fails to show a great deal of interest in both his job and his clients’ well-being. He is also always in a great mood and never fails to entertain with conversation and humor. The haircut is always exactly how I want it, even when I’ve been unable to explain what I want. The staff are well-trained and educated in their profession. They show great effort and dedication towards their clientele, as well as the cleanliness and upkeep of their business.
