Review of The Bando – July 5, 2025, 11:00 AM
Today marked my inaugural visit to The Bando, a highly publicized establishment I’ve been meaning to explore for quite some time. Admittedly, I had reservations — not about the cuisine per se, but about its location, which is, shall we say, less than desirable. I made the trek from Kennesaw, compelled by curiosity and the considerable buzz surrounding this place.
Upon arrival, I was pleasantly greeted; the customer service was courteous and attentive. The staff were polite, though I must note that the atmosphere was quite loud — the music was played at such an excessive volume that I could scarcely hear the cashier when placing my order. I ordered the 20-piece wings with fries and a beverage. The total came to $34 — a figure that certainly caught me off guard, particularly in light of prior reviews suggesting more modest pricing. For context, I could have procured a similar meal at Atlanta’s Best for approximately $20–$25, with noticeably more generous portions. The wings, as other reviewers have rightly pointed out, were rather small.
That said, I found the flavor of both the wings and fries to be quite enjoyable. However, I was expecting a more dramatic presentation of their famed “crack” seasoning — the visual flair and excess depicted in promotional content were decidedly understated during my visit.
Regarding the much-discussed “museum” element, I must say I saw no such feature during my time there. It’s possible I entered through the wrong entrance or perhaps arrived during an off-hour, but I found no trace of this aspect that others have highlighted.
In summary, while the food was certainly good, I can’t say I’d return — not due to any glaring fault, but rather because the pricing, portion sizes, and distance make it less appealing for a repeat experience. For the cost and travel involved, I simply expect a more elevated and...
Read moreI definitely give this place 5 stars. 100 if I could. I did a review on yelp and now here. 1- the food is delicious. Them honey jerk and lemon pepper make you wanna slap your momma. 2- the presentation is nothing short of amazing. It brings back memories for everyone (it's not justabout drugs) like my kids were amazed to see house phones lol. I asked my son how are you suppose to call someone, he dialed the number but was like how do mash call it doesn't have the cable button on here. Lmao, the S curls box, the old play station, etc. 3- The customer service was great, Miss Erica I pray you have absolutely nothing but the best life has to offer. I brought my sister for the time yesterday and you hugged us so tight as if you known us your whole life and said I love you, thank you for coming to the Bando. Do y'all not know how many people in the world need a hug, that hug, those words. Especially with everything that is going on right now in this world. 4- the cards on the table( playing cards, game questions cards, and uno cards) is one of the best ideas ever. It brings you and your family together without you even knowing. We were all at the table laughing, talking, eating while playing uno. We texted each other in our group chat to say we made it home safely (which is 40 minutes away, so you know the food good) and how much we enjoyed each others company without spending a arm and leg lol.. 5- The atmosphere, the good vibes, crack powder, the love we experienced from people we didn't know, the energy. Bando y'all came up something I tell ya. I pray this place flourish, and don't change. If so, only for the better, and that God continues to bless your establishment. I'm so team Bando.... A 100 stars in...
Read moreMe and my kids and my (9lb yorkie) SERVICE DOG came here on 4/30/2025. When we arrived there museum wasn't set up and there was no seats inside indicating that it's NOT DINE-IN. Me and my kid proceed to order and the owner MR.Bradshaw told me that pets wasn't allowed. I informed him that she was a SERVICE DOG and she had on her SERVICE DOG GEAR. So he rolls his eyes and says "no pets allowed, that there are signs outside the place that said NO PETS"(no signs I took pictures) I once again stated to him over that extremely loud music that SERVICE DOGS ARE NOT PETS and if this is ESTABLISHMENT Is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC(which it is) SERVICE DOGS ARE ALLOWED. I was just going to order real quick and go back outside and wait on my food. He told me that I could take my SERVICE DOG back to the car then I could order. I walked out of the establishment as my kids ordered. MY DOG WAS QUIETLY LAYING ON MY SHOULDER NOT MAKING A SOUND ONLY FOCUSED ON ME. Once I made it outside I asked the employees working the door was SERVICE ANIMALS allowed and they said YES. SO I ASK TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER WHICH I DIDN'T KNOW AT THE MOMENT MR BRADSHAW WAS THE MANAGER/OWNER. So if course I never got to speak with him. I've emailed the business to speak with him about the situation and just to inform him on SERVICE DOGS RIGHT PER ADA REGULATIONS. HE NEVER CONTACTED ME OR RESPONDED TO ANY EMAIL. SO NOW IM HERE WRITING A REVIEW. HIS ATTITUDE WAS HORRIBLE WHEN HE WAS SPEAKING WITH ME DURING THIS ENCOUNTER. I thought I'd be able to solve this situation with him but, I'll just take the proper steps to handle...
