The Church of Our Saviour — Attraction in Atlanta

A classic 1920's High Church experience. Beautiful interior and a service with outdated language that even the Church of England has abandoned. Lot's of smells, bells, theater and wooden language, but nothing living in terms of music or congregational inclusion. In addition to the Sunday service I went to the weekday service and the middle english rite was so backward, that I wanted to leave, but it was only myself and the celebrant. If you are writing a research paper or researching a period film- this little Episcopal gem may fit the bill. If you are looking for relevant liturgical worship- you will not find the work of the people here. The music, language and pulpit message belong to another...

Finally a gorgeous church with down to Earth old time services that are a beauty to experience with the mass being a high sung mass with incense and traditional prayers from King James version of the Bible.... The Reverend Mother is so sweet and kind and very thoughtful and the parishioners are all wonderful and I am so happy that after 7 years living here in Georgia my son found us a church we can actually call home and now we have a new parish family that we will be with at church every week and I just adore this...

Christmas Mass. Traditional. Nicely decorated manger and invitation to all the children to salute the baby Jesus. Salute to La Madre de Dios to close the service. Not very warm presentation. Shook the Pastor Jack 's hand. A little glum for the Nativity imho. Pleasant enough singing of Gloria in Excelces Deo but not the full pageantry of the Mass con La Mission de Dolores en San Francisco or the churches l grew up with in Chicago. The Latin Mass...
