A classic 1920's High Church experience. Beautiful interior and a service with outdated language that even the Church of England has abandoned. Lot's of smells, bells, theater and wooden language, but nothing living in terms of music or congregational inclusion. In addition to the Sunday service I went to the weekday service and the middle english rite was so backward, that I wanted to leave, but it was only myself and the celebrant. If you are writing a research paper or researching a period film- this little Episcopal gem may fit the bill. The Reverend Mother is so sweet and kind and very thoughtful and the parishioners are all wonderful and I am so happy that after 7 years living here in Georgia my son found us a church we can actually call home and now we have a new parish family that we will be with at church every week and I just adore this...
