So the coffee that I ordered was absolutely delicious. The employee, a young male, who took my order was absolutely kind and seemed to be really enthused about making sure that I was pleased.
The female, wearing glasses, with short dark hair in my opinion was anything but that. So I Totally forgot to bring my mask with me. It was the first stop that I made today after working an overnight shift.
The female of course was kind enough to ask me if I had a mask, and to my reply I said that I had forgotten one but then proceeded to immediately ask if they had one. She then pointed towards the direction where I could utilize one of their masks.
After she made my coffee, I said thank you While looking at her but the only thing that she could say was mumble youâre welcome and not looking at me in the eyes.
I take my coffee and then went to the condiment station to put a lid on and, to take this wonderful picture that I have attached to this review.
After installing the lid to the top of my coffee mug and while walking towards the front entrance to exit I then made one more attempt to say thank you very much and thanks for the mask, to which her response Was basically ignoring me.
Youâre probably wondering whatâs the big deal here.
When you are an employee behind the counter and a customer not only purchases a coffee but also purchases a brand mug from the store, it means that not only does the person take interest in the service you have to offer, but also the merchandise that they feel proud to bring home use.
Someone in this local coffee shop aside from her needs to teach the basics of good customer service.
I will be making another stop again, and I just hope that she at least puts a big smile on her face making everyone feel welcomed. Regardless whether they forgot their mask or...
Read moreI come here from time to time- the level of professionalism is so bad. No one needs a miracle- just someone to show some awareness that they are at work and that people come there to get coffee. Apparently thatâs too much to ask. A fire chief came in from across the street to get her coffee. She was polite but it was clear she was in a hurry- you know fire stuffâŚthe guy at the register was nice enough- but the two baristas who were making the fire-womanâs coffee did not pause in any way when she went down to the end where they were. They were talking about all their school related grievances- in fact that was all any of us in there could hear- but it bothered me that the woman waiting for her coffee literally had to interrupt them to ask for her coffee because they were moving so slow. And then they were rude to her- and the woman was visibly upset- but they were too busy to notice.
Itâs great that young people have jobs and that they have supportive coworkers- but a coffee shop where people are all quietly hanging out, and the staff are the ones bothering everyone with their problems- and not being kind or asking a customer about their day- and just ignoring all social cuesâŚitâs too much. And then when the coffee was made, they all are on their phones. still bitching. Ugh.
Also, they have only yellow packet sweetener, no sugar, no stevia- itâs weird.
Super cute place, itâs unfortunate. Wonât be coming back. I donât like seeing people be...
Read moreOh, yeah ~ I'd so stop by here again. Things you should know: I. LOCATION A part of the lovely & vibrant Virginia Highlands scene. You could stop and sit here or glide in (like me) and shop around the other stores with your beverage. II. SERVICE Informative and kind III. QUALITY WOW. I like my coffee black (college has ruined me), and so I ordered their equivalent to a cold brew: Flash Brew Coffee. They have two options of flash brew and I ended up choosing the one infused with fruit flavors: Wild Flash Brew. So. Much. FLAVOR. I've never said this about any coffee but I think sugar, creamer or milk would ruin this drink because it's so amazing by itself. IV. CAPACITY I came on a Saturday, late morning... So my timing was at peak business hours. Seating, as expected, was scarce. But I mean, Google is pretty good at predicting the less busy hours if you wanted to sit down, camp out, socialize with friends or get...
