Recently I went to the Torrid in Augusta just browsing while doing some school shopping with my oldest child while looking for some new work attire for myself. I also had my 2 year old with me. Sure enough, her tummy rumbled and she had diarrhea in her diaper and it was very uncomfortable for her. It stayed contained, but I knew it wouldnāt for long. I went to the back to use a fitting room to change a diaper on the floor. There was an open room, so I went to talk in and an employee came speed walking back at us asking what we were doing. I explained I needed a spot on the floor to change a diaper as my daughter is crying her butt hurts. As least friendly as possible this woman looks at me and says, āWell, I rather you not. Especially in our fitting areas where people try on clothing. Iād rather you use the bathroom.ā So I asked here where there was a bathroom, because I hadnāt seen one. She rolled her eyes so hard Iām pretty sure she was looking her pea sized brain, and says āWell, itās not public.ā So I looked at her trying to figure out what my next step would be and where I could take my screaming child because sheās uncomfortable and the acidity for her poop is hurting her, and she goes āWhatever, itās back here. Itās NOT public. Thereās a child changing station inside. Be quick.ā Iām not really sure what this personās issue was with me using the floor of a private area originally, but I was even more taken back by her response to the situation as a whole. I ended up changing her, my friend I was with finished her shopping inside the store, and I left with nothing. No way was I supporting a business whose employee (maybe manager?) treated me with such disgust. I was appalled and disgusted with the behavior of the employees. Do better, that was embarrassing enough for me. Hopefully sheās embarrassed on her own...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to love Torrid and used to buy a ton of clothes there until they opened a store in Augusta. The Portland store was always great.. I had 1 mediocre experience earlier this year but the last time I went was awful. Two weeks ago, I went in looking for a new bra. I have worn the same size bra at Torrid for years and have bought dozens of them. However, after telling the sales person that approached me that I knew my size and had shopped Torrid many times before, she told me there was no way I wore that size and suggested she could help me find the right size. When I explained that I only wear Torrid brand bras and know my size, she rolled her eyes and suggested other sizes that were in-stock because my size wasn't available. The attitude she gave me was absolutely unacceptable. And there is no way that she could look at someone fully dressed and know for sure what bra size they wear. I am so upset about this experience that even though it has been 2 weeks, I'm still frustrated and can't bring myself to order a bra online. I'm probably going to have to find a new company...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have shopped with torrid for many years with no problems until now. I paid my bill in full in September and for some reason my payment did not go through. Torrid never contacted me until a month later to tell me the payment didn't go through and the were adding almost $75.00 in late fees and interest. When I called and asked them about it they told me they just put a letter in the ma yesterday. When I asked them about it they pretty much politely told me me to screw myself and eat it. That they would pass my complaints on. I will never do business with them again. They do not care about the best interest of their customers especially during...
