Twisted Oz Motorcycle Museum — Attraction in Augusta

A lot of unique history in this museum . We were met outside on arrival by one of the owners Kelly Modlin . A group of 20 of us rode up from Tulsa to go to this museum . Once inside , Kelly started up a rare piece of history for us , a 1923 Henderson 3 wheeler . The only one known to exist . It's 4 cylinder engine sounded like an airplane ! Another visitor was able to pedal start a Cannonball racer , an old Excelsior . Another bike to note is a six cylinder Indian Super Six , one of only 2 ever built . The son of this builder/ engineer was at the museum while we were there. His father also designed a gas powered Pogo stick ! Sold 3900 units in Wichita ! This is the best small motorcycle museum in North America hands down.‼️ The antique motorcycles housed in the museum are not only stunning works of art, but they all run (a rarity for these type museums) And the owner, Kelly Modlin, is such a great guy and rightly very proud of these gems on two wheels. He’s a professional rider and his enthusiasm for the sport is infectious. Kelly took me on a personal tour and Gave a brief but rich history on each and every motorcycle…….. what a guy‼️ Located in Augusta Kansas, a suburb of Wichita, this is a must visit if you’re in the area. You’ll be amazed‼️

Been meaning to pay a visit since it opened, finally got in here today. Amazing doesn't do this collection justice. Not only is it pretty much a timeline of motorcycle history it is a beautifully curated collection as well. We got a personal tour from one of the gentlemen who had restored many of the bikes, and his knowledge of each bike and the history is incredible.
