Donut Palace — Restaurant in Augusta

The donuts were actually really good!! Nice and soft, fresh, okay variety to choose from( wished for a few different flavors) but all in all the ones they did have and we tried were not bad. And the sausage rolls phenomenal, and the bacon and egg crescent were very good also. Really loved the fact that it's a real egg they use on the crescents!! Disappointed that I felt rushed while trying to order since this was the first time ever coming to this Donut Place and not exactly sure what we would like, as it was discovered on the long drive home. BUT once I got home I realized that i didn't get what i asked and paid for, and afrer working a 12hr shift and then driving the 1hr home, i wasn't going to turn back around and have them fix the mistake. Problem was I had asked for two fruity pebble covered donuts, one for each of the Little ones (so they don't argue) but only recieved one in the box.... and the sausage rolls were so good I went through the drive through before pulling out of the parking lot to get another one and supposed to be 2 bacon egg and cheese burritos.... only to also find out when I got home they were sausage not at all bacon!!! SOOOO, SLIGHTLY DISAPPOINTED 😞 AND SAD since we dont really eat ground up sausage like that... but the food and donuts that I did try were good and very fresh... maybe if there is a next time I'll look before I leave and not be so disappointed when I get home with the wrong items, Expecially since it's not exactly the cheapest, and that's an absolutely huge pet peeve, to pay for something and it be wrong or you discover when you are already 20 miles down the...

I have eaten a lot of donuts in my life. These are literally THE freshest donuts I have ever eaten in my life. My Pappie loves the Kolaches here. They have cheese sausage or jalapeno sausage in them wrapped in warm soft bread. They will mark your Kolaches so you know which is which if you order both. I stopped to get him some for Father's Day. It was a Sunday. Not sure if that has anything to do with the freshness, but I was completely blown away. My only complaint...These donuts are so fresh that when the iced donuts get put in the box, the frosting tends to slide off a bit. It gets in the gets stuck to the bottom or side of the box. Very disappointed… this is now the third time I’ve had this happen. I drive 25-30ish mins just for these donuts. They are REALLY good but they are horrible about any communication. On three separate occasions I’ve drove all the way here just to find a hand written letter on the door that they’re closed. They don’t have a website, or a phone that they answer…. Just a Facebook page which they seem to be pretty active on. It’s disappointing and a waste of time if you don’t live in town. Very unreliable.
