Saigon Bistro — Restaurant in Aurora

so soooo happy that this restaurant opens during the pandemic - thank you for your service. To start off, I think this is probably the best, freshest Vietnamese restaurant in Colorado. I know it's a big statement - but I've lived in New York City and San Francisco, and while cheap Vietnamese food is easy to find, good-quality, well-made, fresh Vietnamese restaurant is a bit harder to find. If you're looking for cheap, fast-food Vietnamese this ain't your place - keep that in mind

we ordered through door dash: deep fried rolls, bun bo hue, noodle bowl, rice bowl, fried rice... and they were all SO SO yummy. Flavorful, balanced, piles and piles of fresh veggies and herbs. My bun bo hue even had stalks of RAU RAM and shaved banana blossoms! These things are so hard to find and I rarely find restaurants that include them. Shows you how much thought and care they put into their food.

This was my first time at this restaurant. It was good. I came as a deliverer to pick up food... There was a moment of miscommunication of the order. However, the staff stepped up and made it right to me and the customer. The staff here had great communication skills and we figured out a game plan. Once the food was remade, I was able to deliver the food.

Then I came back to order food for myself and I can honestly say the quality of this food was great it looked great and smelled great... and most of all tasted great. I don't remember the name of the dish but I will post a picture.

Lastly, if you pickup deliveries here and cancel the order knowing you cannot make the delivery in the first place--stop it. That's not fair to the business, that's not fair to the customers, and not fair third party delivery platforms. Thank you have...

Food was not bad, and service was good, but when it came time to pay we noticed a large discrepancy between what the menu showed prices to be and the final charge on the bill. We are unsure if the extra charge was gratuity already added to the bill, or if the food cost more than what the menu showed as we did not get an itemized bill. There is nothing to indicate if gratuity is already added to the bill, but there is still a place to add gratuity. So, on top of the bill (which, unbeknownst to us at the time, looks like gratuity was already added) we tipped 20% which likely means they got close to 50% gratuity. The menu price compared to what we payed when doing the math shows a difference of 25% (we're guessing that's gratuity...
