I came here with a friend on a drizzly weekend in June 2018, and I got the matcha red bean milk tea with no sugar, no ice. It was listed as $3.50 on the menu, but I got charged for almost $5. Before I handed her my credit card, I asked why that was, and she said tax. I said tax is not almost 40%, and I looked at the screen to see what was up. Apparently no ice adds $1. I really hate places that do that. Also, $1 is a LOT for no ice; most places add $.25 or $.50. That was a bad sign already. I told her I'll take 25% ice, and that gave me the right price, $3.78 including tax. When I was given my drink, there was no red bean in it. I told the cashier and she put it in for me, telling she gave me extra. I thanked her and drank my drink. It was pretty sweet for a drink without sugar. The red bean was good though; I enjoyed those. The drink had a ton of ice; I have no idea how that was 25% ice, and I wonder whether 100% ice means the drink is just all ice. It was a bit ridiculous. The matcha flavor was okay but I'm sure it was powder. Very...
Read moreIn Denver this week and Ive had a daily boba addiction for 15 years, so I love trying new boba shops. Visited 6 boba stores in Denver this week and Wonder Tea is by far, so tastier than any of the others. The other 5 shops were an easy 3 star based on drinks alone. I saw Wonder Tea ratings and had to give it a try. Well, the boba are cooked to perfection, the drinks i tried this week were most excellent (Oreo milk tea, coconut slush, Thai tea, winter melon and of course the classic milk tea). Each drink tasted as they should, perfect amount of sweetness, ice and boba. If you’re a daily boba drinker, I highly suggest Wonder Tea, it might be a tad hard to find as it’s in the foyer of an Asian supermarket. Did I mention the owners are super nice, I noticed they know soooo many of their customers and have genuine love for their customers and store. For me, this store is just another reason Denver calls to my soul to visit as...
Read moreI discovered Wonder Tea when I was working (as a nurse) and had a craving. We ordered through Grub Hub since they didn't deliver.
Their tea was delicious! The Boba is soft and the smoothies are thick and fresh. The avocado smoothie is one of my favorites, as well as any smoothie with popping pearls.
After a few big (expensive) orders I was tired of our money going to Grub Hub and not the family owned business.
So I called and asked if there was any way they could deliver for us if we continued to place large orders.
Mai was so sweet! She said that their whole goal as a business is to put smiles on faces and they offered to deliver to us!
So now we have an agreement and order Boba almost weekly. Sometimes we have busy or stressful days but when I bring through a wagon of Boba everyone gets excited! It's a game changer and gets us through the last few hours of our shift.
We...
