I used to like this place a lot until it has become so costly prohibitive to want to ever go back. They constantly charge you more for less.
Even 20 years ago it was quite costly to eat here, but now it's intolerably expensive to eat here and I can no longer order the things I used to like here. (Even the quality of those things I used to like have gone down dramatically, like the Coconut shrimp.)
I was recently tempted back by the 17 dollar 3 course meal, which turned out to be a joke for me and my wife. I didn't wanna settle with a tiny 6 oz sirloin so of course I upgraded it at a greatly inflated price.
The steak itself was awful. Mine had no marbling or anything, it was as rough as you would expect out of a round steak and was hardly enjoyable at all - being such a tiny piece of meat, with no tenderness at all. (wonder if they gave us the 6 oz instead of the larger size that we paid for)
They overcooked my wife's steak, took it away from her and made her wait 15 minutes while she watched me eat my food.
The cheapskates didn't even offer more bread, we both ended up paying over 53 dollars for our meal in total, we took the cheesecake to go, and we both walked out of there still hungry.
I've never walked out of this place hungry before. I will never be going back. I hear the Outback franchise is not doing so well financially across the US. I wonder why. You shouldn't have to pay that kind of money and walk out still feeling hungry.
If you want a quality dinner at a reasonable price, without feeling ripped off - go to the local Texas roadhouse, down the street on Illif. Me and my wife were able to get a 16 oz rib-eye with MORE than one side and ended up paying less than 50 dollars for it total. (and walked out satisfied)
Outback steakhouse has always been a rip-off for me and my family which is why for so many years I've avoided going here. They keep raising the prices, while lowering the quality. It's not...

Valentines blah... No, I don't hate Valentines Day. Outback was a treat to my family for it, but the experience was not worth over 200. My hubs has covid, so rather than go out with masks on, I decided this would be amazing. I placed our order at 2 for 6:45. I thought this would be great. Picked up our food, and it was ready. But I got home to find sides I paid for missing had no bread. I called and let them know I asked if we could get a couple of extra loaves of bread since there are 4 of us, and we didn't have any. Guy said he would take care of us. Of course, this ruined the meal because we had to drive back and wait for the sides. Got home sides were not even warm, and he put one loaf of bread in. By this point, the meals were all cold. We had to take turns warming up our steaks. Sat down to eat, and 2 of the steaks were rare when I say rare, I mean, blood rare. It was a bust. I understand it was Valentines Day and they were busy but at the same time my to go money was just as good as if our family of 4 went inside to eat but it seemed to us like to go's on Valentines don't rate the same quality as sit down. I was trying to do something nice for my family since, of course, going out wasn't a good option. Just be aware when ordering to go on a holiday. Even if you order hours ahead, you probably won't get your order correct or...
Read moreI typically don't rate commercial restaurants because they're one in the same. If anything, I look for the service because it's the same steak that I'm going to get here in Colorado that I'm going to get in New York and in Kansas and anywhere else there's an outback steakhouse and to me that steak is just not the best and not the worst. It's right in the middle. It's good as far as the service at this particular establishment. I gave it four stars because they did their job and they did it well but there was nothing that they went out of way to make my experience any different than any other outback steakhouse. In fact, if I remember correctly, the service was rather slow and there was nobody there. So that gave me the impression that you know they're just going through the motions. They don't really go the extra mile and therefore only get four stars. I only give five stars. When I see an experience. Someone go out of their way to make my experience. Extravagant and one to remember and I just didn't get it there and that goes for all commercial restaurants. You know every steak is the same so everything is the same all over the country. So if I had gotten service that I felt this went out of the way to make my experience rememberable then that would have gave them five stars. As far as the service is concerned, the food is out back is just it's just good at best. You're getting a choice steak and that's it...
