I frequent this place... frequently. The budget for the maintenance of the park seems to have been quartered. If you're just looking at the park as a whole, it's all "ooh'" and "ah." But when you get to the playground and gazebo area it's... "ew" and "aw man, what did I put my hand in?" I mean, don't get me wrong, the grass is cut and there's not an obscene amount of trash laying around. Not much graffiti that can immediately be seen.
I'm not sure what the flooring that is used for the playground is called but it definitely needs a once over. And the seating under the gazebo could use some touch ups. Maybe a few bolts. A refinish wouldn't hurt. How about a spray down to get rid of some of the nasty under the gazebo? Idk.
The playground seems to be lacking. The kids enjoy it because they're kids right but as an adult I see that a swing set is not enough. A bigger jungle gym wouldn't hurt.
The basketball half a court and one bench... Why not a full court? Or a 3/4 with two hoops? It's almost like they went for aesthetics and not function. Idk.
Honestly a small workout area wouldn't hurt. Not saying everything needs to be done but man some additions would be nice. It's not a bad area, it just seems like it could use more additions to help kids and adults...

You can have them read it to you. There are even interactive questions that go along with the story that will encourage more participation and activity.
