This one is located across from a high school and its staff make a point to treat the students here as though they're wayward teenagers. Perhaps many who regularly attend this campus are, in fact, younger. However, if you value not being screamed at in the testing center for breaking a petty rule (that isn't a rule at other campuses, or at least isn't enforced), getting more than 5 inches of paper towel to dry your hands after washing, or being treated with courtesy by office staff: go to a different location!
Both Round Rock and Northridge (though no where near the SAC geographically) have staff and policies that don't make you feel as though you've stepped into your child's school and are mysteriously being treated as though you are a student there. Why do I waste my time going to the learning lab that we are specifically told is paid for by the students then told to go home and figure it out then come back. The REASON I go to the learning lab is to get help on what I don't understand otherwise why would I need the learning lab if I can jus go home and "figure out" what I struggle with ON MY OWN!!! Would it hurt to smile and give hope to those that struggle and go to the L.L. for help actually go cause we want to pass. Why again did you become tutors!!!!! I had a Saturday class and when I went to check my classroom, the website was under construction, so I was a little nervous about finding where to go. Thankfully, there was a kind greeter sitting at a table making sure everyone knew where to go. I told her my class, and she immediately pointed me in the right direction. She even had snacks she was handing out, which was such a thoughtful touch.
