I walk my cat here each week in this well-kept and under-utilized park.
There are some quiet spots with lots of shade and dozens of park benches and picnic tables to choose from.
•If you enjoy BBQing, there's plenty of grills •If you enjoy a swim, visit late spring thru summer and enjoy the well-maintained pool for $3 •There's a lovely pavillion for gatherings at the very back of the park •There's a BBall court here (shh! keep it on the low) •Runners & Dog walkers know there's lots of even gravel trails across the park •You could probably find a spot to do yoga or tai chi uninterrupted (there's even some bamboo on the side of the park furthest from the High School along the side road) •The big draw is the children's jungle gym with swings, slides and play structures •There is ample parking in the front and at the very back of the park •Riders- there's a few places you could lock up your bike, or tie up your horse, at the front entrance nearer to the pool. •This is a dog-friendly park, BUT Please remember to keep your dogs on-leash when visiting...

Garrison is a park to walk your dog, walk with your best, safely entertain your kiddos, or just while away a couple hours of agenda-free time.

Pro-tip = half-day adventure is this ^ plus 'hippie highway' (Emerald Forest) back north to Williamson Creek and under UP trestle and back to Garrison Park (def a lolligag and also...
