This Christian Life Church is THE church In Austin. From the parking lot to the worship, to the spirit filled word the pastoral team brings, you will absolutely fall in love with everything about this church.
The worship team is like no other. The sound, the singing, the musicians are all professional. They are UNBELIEVABLE!! Lead by Singer song writer and Worship leader Randy Davenport, you will not find a better worship team then this team at Christian Life Austin.
The spirit filled word that Pastor Brad, Pastor Rex, and Pastor Sam bring Wednesday nights at 7:30, as well as 3 services on Sunday, 8:30, 10:15, 12:15 are unmatched.
The staff loves everyone that walks through the door. The congregation is mixed races and all ages and they seem to love each other like only a church that loves Jesus could! If you are looking for a great church that loves children of all ages, this is the church you have been looking for. You can check in your child at the children’s check in , and know that you child will be safe and will be taught lessons from the Bible, while they play with other kids their same age, while you and your spouse go to the worship center and enjoy the word. Then after service you go back to children’s center and pick up your child. Or you can take your child to the adult worship center.
The cafe is stocked with breakfast tacos, free coffee or specialty coffees for a small price. Donuts and snacks and sodas as well.
If you are Hispanic and do not speak English, you can go to the welcome center and pick up a headset that connects you to the Spanish translators so you can listen, word for word to the Pastors, but in Spanish. For the Deaf, there is a section that has a live sign language person who signs word for word as the Pastors bring the word .
This church has 3 packed services on Sunday, with limited parking lots. If you come to Christian Life Church, plan to park where you are directed to park. One of the 5 golf carts will pick you up and give you a ride to the front door of the church and then back to your car after service. The church is in the works of building more parking and will do everything to accommodate you and help you find parking. The best thing you can do is go early, and listen to the parking team, park where you are directed to park and ride the carts when you can. Your kids will love the ride and the divers are kind individuals who know what’s best for you and your family.
You will love this church. If you don’t, tell someone and they will fix whatever is wrong. This church Loves you where you are, and will help move you to where God wants you to be! CHRISTIAN LIFE AUSTIN is very much alive and if you are looking to experience the Holy Spirit, please come to one of our 5 services every week.

Read moreI do not recommend this church to anyone. It is all about worship and there is no meat on the bone. The pastor seems to be preaching to the audience instead of teaching the people. To me it seems life he is looking for gratification, out of the 30 to 40 minutes of preaching he only quotes like two scriptures. I will say that most of what he is preaching is from the bible. But the way you present it is wrong. It is not teaching you from the bible, it is a preacher telling the stories of the bible. I am so glad that my faith and the teachings I have learned from bible based churches have taught me what to look for. If I had to sum it up, I would say it was a holy roller church. I really don't know how this church has so many good reviews. I am actually shocked, that people were letting their emotions get to them instead of using the word of God to point them and teach them what to look for in a church. In fact for me it got so bad for me that I had to leave early, I literally could not stand it anymore. There were also other things there that was very odd to, in fact quite strange in prayer, that he had everyone do. Also to me the music is way too loud, it could have been turned down just a little bit. I like the songs they did it was just way too loud. Another comment that I don't like, is if you show up just a few minutes late, they don't give you a choice on where to sit, even though there is a balcony (which in my experience with churches that have balconies typically have less people in the balcony, but they said no I couldn't go into the balcony, instead I go into the main floor where it is crowded and try to find a seat, I watched as more and more people came in behind me and people were having issues on finding seats. This really shouldn't happen. I typically like to be by myself when I worship the Lord at a place of worship, I don't like to be crammed in like a sardine. All in all, the pastor isn't teaching his people the bible, he didn't use any bible references except for a couple, but yet he told many stories of the bible, but did not reference the bible. A pastor is suppose to be teaching his people the bible and to understand the bible, and the meanings of the bible to influence the next generation. To me it seemed more about getting applause from the audience then it did about teaching the bible.
This is an honest review in no way am I trying to be mean or spiteful, but I am trying to be completely honest about my experience.
Thanks and have a...
Read moreThis is a response to Ms. Kay Fedrick: Your statement “the teaching is not biblical” and “he doesn’t teach the whole counsel of God’s Word“, is simply not true. I think you totally misinterpreted what Pastor Rex meant when he said “I’m a 65-book Preacher, I leave Revelation to people that really know Revelation”. I believe he was by no means saying he doesn’t accept it as the Word of God. He was being honest and saying he doesn’t “preach” from it, as he may feel he hasn’t had enough study, however he does quote from it. It’s rare that you hear a message from the pulpit on Revelation. For my Bible prophecy needs, I watch Christian TV: Christ in Prophecy, Manna-Fest, and Jack Van Impe Presents. I’ve heard them say time-n-time again, that they’ve done thousands of hours and years-n-years of studying Ezekiel, Daniel, and Revelation. So for Pastor Rex to say he doesn't preach from Revelation does not alarm me. I assure you CLC is a Full Gospel church! Please listen to “The Seventh Hour“. You’ll hear him say “you can’t take scissors to the Bible…Believe every word of it”.
When he was talking about baptism and mentioned they “go down a dead man and will come up a living man…and that’s why we celebrate their sins being washed away”, and you misinterpreted it to say he meant they would “be cleansed from their sins because there were baptized“, did you stop the audio, or did you continue to listen to the rest of the message? I believe he was by no means saying “they are not yet saved but will be after baptism”. He was referencing the “water washing away our sins” as mentioned in Acts 22:16.
I moved to Austin six years ago and visited dozens of churches. Three months ago, when the Lord lead me to Christian Life Church, I was so happy! I finally felt “At last I am home!”. I L-O-V-E, love it here. CLC is a true Spirit Filled, Full Gospel, Bible Based Church. I invite you to visit and then let me know if you don’t feel the power of the Holy Spirit, if you don’t see God’s Anointing on the Pastor, and if you don’t feel the love of Jesus from the congregation.
I appreciate your wanting to perform due diligence and “test the spirits”, as advised in 1 John 4:1, but I think it’s unfair that you judged CLC based on your jumping to the wrong conclusions of two innocent sentences from one message. Come to a church service and then I’m confident you will see it in a different light. God bless you and your family. Pray for me, even as I...
