I love my HEB. Yes it is an older one and smaller than most but it has everything I need. I have recently been buying their ready to cook meals and I can't express enough positive comments about these meals. I had never bought them before because the portions looked kind of small and they run from $5 up to $14 but let me tell you, they are the perfect amount! The variety is plenty even at my small HEB. I am so impressed with these meals and their flavor and the convenience of them that I have told everyone that I know and insisted that they go and try them out. All of them have gone and all of them are now purchasing these meals. They have microwavable meals and they have the oven ready meals and both are excellent. There is not one that I have gotten that I did not like. The seasoning is perfect The amount A food is perfect and even the cost is very reasonable considering Taco Bell's value boxes now over $8 and that food is just not on the same level as this food. H-E-B really has these meals down to a science! And don't forget about the fresh sushi oh my goodness so good! Another thing I'd love about this store is I'm always able to find an employee if I need assistance. There's always someone around and they're always happy to help or point me in the right direction. Although it's one of the older HEBs it did go under a remodeling maybe a year or two ago so it doesnt look old at all. It has always been clean and organized. I have also used their curbside services and that is so worth trying. You just place your order in the app and they let you know when it's ready and when someone is walking out to your car and even that it's been completed. The front of the store used to have the front parking places designated for curbside assistance but that has changed and the front parking places up against the store are all available for regular parking which is great! Over all it's my favorite place to do my shopping and I'm always satisfied with the options/variety that are available, the coupons they offer, the ready to cook meals, the customer service and...
Read moreI am writing to share my observations regarding a recent review I read about security officers at this HEB location, and occasionally other locations as well. I noticed a comment expressing concern about security officers patrolling the parking lot and taking pictures.
As a frequent shopper, I have personally witnessed security officers conducting parking lot patrols, and I have seen them taking photographs. I also have a family member who works for HEB in San Antonio and understands that taking pictures of the parking lot is part of their routine security measures. It is easy to misinterpret this activity as them taking photos of individuals.
Based on my own experiences, I believe the recent negative review claiming a security officer was inappropriately taking pictures of a customer is inaccurate. I have encountered the security officer mentioned in the review at this HEB, and I have found him to be consistently courteous and professional. He greeted me politely, and as I was leaving, I observed him conducting his patrols and taking pictures of the parking lot, with no indication of any inappropriate behavior. He appeared mindful of what he was photographing.
It is concerning to see a hard-working individual's reputation potentially damaged by what appears to be a false accusation. It is unfair to slander someone in this manner. It seems possible that the reviewer may have been seeking attention or trying to portray themselves as a victim without basis. Making such claims in a public forum like Google Reviews can have serious consequences for the individual's livelihood.
In a situation where someone genuinely felt they were being photographed inappropriately, I believe most people, including myself as a woman, would address the person directly rather than waiting to post a review later. The fact that the reviewer allegedly said they would wait until leaving to talk about it...
Read moreThe customer service and management at this location is such a drastic change from what I experienced first hand, at the location off 183, just North of Lakeline Mall. I am talking night & day. It was like I was in a completely different store, in a completely different state, make that planet. It didn't stop there. The atmosphere alone......no comparison. This review is supposed to be about the location at 183 & Spicewood Springs so I'll stop comparing. I literally left 1 & drove to the other, so the entire experience was/is still very fresh, making it hard to focus on just 1. The Spicewood Springs location is conveniently located, easy to see from 183 & Spicewood Springs Rd. Keep in mind the road changes names at 183. It is McNeil on the North side of the Hwy, & Spicewood Springs on the South....for those not familiar with Austin or the NW Austin area. The store was not overly crowded but that could be due to the time of day it was when I visited. (Late at night.) This use to be Albertsons if I remember correctly. The store is much smaller than some of the newer stores but they still have a good selection, or wide variety of items to purchase, given it's size. There is ample parking & multiple entry & exit locations from both Spicewood Springs & the Southbound access road of 183. The manager I spoke to was extremely polite, welcoming, & displayed genuine appreciation for me stopping in. I wish I had gotten his name, as I'll be calling HEB corporate office shortly re a completely different issue. However, I would love to provide positive feedback about the employees at this location. More specifically the 2 I have already mentioned. Yes, I will revisit & yes, I would & do recommend HEB @ 183 & Spicewood Springs Rd for your grocery...
