⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Authentic Nepali Comfort Food & Amazing Flavors! I had a fantastic dining experience at Himalaya Kosheli Nepali & Indian and would highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Nepali food with rich flavors and heartwarming hospitality. I ordered: • Steam Chicken Momo • Chicken Jhol Momo • Chicken Thupka • Chicken Lollipop Every single dish was delicious and freshly prepared. The Steam Chicken Momos were soft, juicy, and packed with well-seasoned chicken filling — just like you’d expect from a true Nepali kitchen. The Chicken Jhol Momo was the star of the night! The flavorful soup-like curry was perfectly spiced and comforting, making it a must-try dish. The Chicken Thupka (Nepali noodle soup) was warm, hearty, and full of fresh vegetables and tender chicken. It instantly felt like homemade comfort food. The Chicken Lollipop was crispy outside, tender inside, and paired well with their dipping sauce — a great appetizer to kick off the meal. The service was friendly and welcoming, and I really appreciated the cozy atmosphere. You can tell the food here is made with love and authenticity. Whether you love Nepali cuisine or want to try something new, this place won’t disappoint! ✅ Delicious food ✅ Authentic flavors ✅ Great portions ✅ Friendly service I’ll definitely be coming back again! Highly recommend! 👏

I'm a big fan of Indian food, and frequent many of the Indian restaurants in Austin. I tried the Himalaya Kosheli today and did something I don't do often, try every dish on the buffet. What a treat, I tried the vegetable noodle soup, which left me wanting more, but had to try everything else, like this eggplant dish that reminded me of mom's cooking, when she made casserole from our fresh Hill country garden veggies. Cabbage and carrots, I thought, no way I'll like this, but was very surprised. There was another spicy veggie dish that was amazing. Then on to my favorites, chicken Tikka masala and one of the most delicious goat curry dishes I have ever had. They were bringing out fresh naan, and the two rices provided were perfectly made. My fingers were red and finger licking good from the tandoori chicken as well. For dessert, the mango custard, reminding me of one of Star of India's version, but someone thicker. This place is very affordable, it isn't fancy at all, but they will get there if they keep this good food coming out!

This place is tucked in corner of a strip mall . We came in when restaurant was closing but were warmly greeted by staff who even eagerly sat us down. 1. We tried their Veg Kothey Momos. I think these momos are different than what you expect at a regular Nepalese/Indo Chinese restaurant. The Kothey Momos were pan fried and had vegetable filling. I would rate it 8/10. Definitely worth trying. 2. We tried ‘ Mushroom Sekuwa’ . It had a unique flavor because the Mushrooms were marinated and barbecued in mustard Oil. It was served a with a small side salad and rice which helped absorb some of the strong flavor. I would rate it 8/10. Loved the strong and unique flavor profile. 3. We tried Veg Chowmein and asked the staff for a spicy touch. The chowmein was a delish as I was able to devour straight out of the plate. It has the flavor of the WoK tossed noodles that are famous in Indo-Chinese cuisine. I will rate it a solid 9/10. Overall , I think we found a Nepali gem that I am excited to repeat again! Highly recommended.

I ordered momo and biryani from this restaurant, with some effort. The website wouldn't accept my credit card for some reason. They were kind enough to take my order over the phone, but had some communication difficulties and initially neglected one item from my order.

The food I received was full of life, reminiscent of other South Asian cooking I've eaten before, but with sharp and vibrant flavors that I haven't previously experienced at Himalayan restaurants. I feel like I was experiencing the personal touch of a cook with a Himalayan palate cooking for his own community. It was great, interesting food.

The only downside to the food was that the goat biryani had bone fragments mixed in with the rice. (Actual shards of bone, not just the bone you expect in the pieces of meat.) I personally didn't find this distressing, having been raised in an Asian food culture where having to spit out weird bits is normal. However, this was a great source of consternation for my poor Tex-Mex wife, and discouraged her from eating an otherwise delicious biryani.

All in all, there were some wrinkles in my experience, but the people are good and the...

Had read good reviews before we decided to order from here. But had very very disappointing experience. Being weekday it was not crowded and I did not see much to go orders on table so I believe it was no rush hour, we did not place last minute order and yet what we had received was burnt food. Momo jhol had super burnt tempering that literally black garlic and cumin pieces were swimming in the soup, momos were all broken, filling was separated from covers and it was extra tangy with way too much turmeric in it. Same for chili momo, way too much tangy plus burnt tempering. Clearly they did not bother about that burnt tempering which was visible to open eyes. Since it was to go order no one can come to replace it which shows their attitude towards quality. We had ordered all types of momos available on their menu but they all were same so don’t waste your money on variety even if you decide to order from here ever. Order was not ready for pick up on given time, guess what they took extra time to burn garlic and cumin till they turned black.

Never going back...
