Strike-A-Lott Pro Shop — Attraction in Austin

My Dad and I went into the pro shop over the weekend to look for a bowling ball for each of us. Was surprised to see Wes Malott sitting right behind the counter (A pro who I've seen bowl on TV many times). He was extremely helpful in finding a ball that would work for both of us, considering it was the first ball that either of us have owned. He watched me bowl to make sure the ball would work for me and even gave a few pointers. After all that, he drilled the balls right in front of us and before we knew it, we each had a brand new bowling ball. We couldn't wait to test out the balls, so we decided to bowl and he came back over to see how things were going and even gave my Dad some lessons. Gary and team are literally the best. They’re so kind, so knowledgeable, etc. My father owned a Mom & Pop pharmacy and he prided himself and differentiated himself from Walgreen’s, CVS, and his other competition through better service and Gary and his staff are exactly the same. They treat you just like family. Anything you need, genuine advice that will best fit your game, helping you build the right arsenal of equipment, etc. Truly a blessing to have these guys here in an Austin.

I just got back into bowling after an 11-year hiatus and these guys instantly got me geared up and truly back into and loving the sport again. I can’t thank them enough.

Came in on Friday for a new 1st shot ball and a new spare ball after using the same ball for both shots for years. Jeff took the time to come out to a lane and watch me bowl. Not only did he recommend me a new ball based on my throwing style, he gave me pointers on my starting position and technique. Came in the next day to try them out, and after some fine tuning on the thumbhole I bowled back to back 600 series for the first time in my life, and my average for the day jumped 15 points.
