An unwelcoming and cliquey place with almost no ways for a newcomer to engage. There’s even a waitlist for small groups that only opens annually. When I reached out to pastors about wanting to get more involved and my idea create and help lead a newcomers group, I was straight up ignored. 🙃I tried reaching out about my experience directly (which many many others share, who I have connected with) and why it hurt but was also ignored. Over the course of a year I tried to get plugged in but I left to greener pastures. It’s disappointing but it seems there is no place for you if you are new - and the pastors don’t seem bothered by that. It is a small church that lives out Jesus' command to “love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind” and “love your neighbor.” It is a tolerant church that takes the Bible, Justice, and imitating Christ seriously. They don't have the staff or amenities of a big mega/multi-site church (though they've gotten better at promoting “midweek groups” since earlier reviews) but I feel more “at home” here than at any of those.
