I only wish I took a picture before I finished eating.. Without a doubt, the best tacos I've had living in Austin, period. I went in without knowing anything but the reviews.

I was greeted by Manny, who I came to found out is one of the owners of the truck. Incredibly friendly service and he told me a little bit about what they were trying to do and what kind of taco's I should order. I ended up ordering the Deshebrada and the sausage/egg/potato on flour.

First off, the fresh handmade flour tortilla's slap. Fluffy, warm and made by Manny that morning. The flavor of the crispy and tender deshebrada was the star of the show with nice spice hits of cumin, garlic and pepper. One of my favorite taco's in the city as of now. Large portion, big flavor and FRESH.

The breakfast taco was wild. I'm not usually one for potato on my taco's as most places give you large, cold and chewy cuts. These potatos were diced just right, crispy and fluffy as a casper pillow and seasoned right. The sausage was cooked perfect, diced and chopped not too large and not too small. If you can't tell by now, I'm all about the ratio's. The eggs also just hit different.. fluffy and creamy clouds that didn't hog the spotlight.. Gordon Ramsey in that kitchen? Nah, it's Manny.

It's hard to trust a review without a photo these days, but trust that it was the bomb and it's just what the neighborhood needs, especially after these sad excuse for tacos out here these days. Vecino's is the real deal so just take your lunch break and go. You might just find your new favorite taco in...

These two boys right here- Jon & Manny, have created something special. They're serving up some seriously good puffy tacos and "everything" tacos that are worth checking out.

The vibe around their truck is pure Austin - laid-back, friendly, and just the right amount of weird. You'll feel like you're at a mini fiesta every time you stop by. And the service? Top-notch! These brothers treat you like family from the moment you walk up.

If you're anywhere near East Austin, do yourself a favor and hunt down this taco treasure. Hell, even if you're not in the area, it's worth the drive. Trust me, your stomach will thank you!

Vecinos Tacos Food Truck is hands-down a must-visit! Their birria tacos were bursting with rich, savory flavor, perfectly tender, and paired with a consommé that was pure magic. But the real star for me? The puffy tacos! 🤩 Crisp, airy, and packed with deliciousness—every bite was a dream.

Not only is the food top-notch, but the outdoor atmosphere is amazing! They have a gated area for kids to play, making it a great spot for families. There are plenty of tables for both small and large groups, and the ample shade makes it a perfect place to relax and enjoy your meal.
